I'm going to try to keep this bumped with pertinent information for those of us wishing to attend.

So far I only have the dates... but hopefully people can post here when they get more information.

July 9th - July 18th are the dates of the games...

also if anyone is interested there is a sports management conference at the same time at UNLV - http://www.sportsmanagementworldwide.com/conferences/nba-summer-league-sports-career-conference

In case any of you were interested in that as well.

Also flight prices seem to be ready to decline to get to Vegas at this point - according to Bing - so I am waiting to buy airline tickets.

So... anyone else going want to pitch in to buy a house in Vegas so we can all stay there? At this point, it may be cheaper than hotels.

The summer league is probably the WORST in terms of gauging success in the nba.

    really?

It's not meant to gauge a teams success but it does show player development. AB, Landry, Budinger all looked great in Summer league.

I wonder if Rubio will be able to come over in time and get some Summer League games in for us or if he'll just wait till training camp

I don't think you remember Landry's summer league. It wasn't pretty.

The first summer league game I ever watched was Rockets vs Jazz, some Russian Ivan Drago looking kid named Kirilenko was just destroying our prized savior rookie Eddie Griffin.

I wish that would have been a fluke :(

Mikey Harris almost made this team that year. He was great a couple years ago and really showed he had game. He's a champion now...D-League that is:grin:

And JL3 was the Summer League MVP one year. I take SL performances with a grain of salt because its mainly there to get the new guys accumulated with NBA style games.

LOL that may be true. I am hoping we can find some decent rooms at acceptable prices... since I plan to be there most of the week. Though I might not stay on the strip, just depends on the cost.

I would most likely drive there as I want to go and see if there is a home I would like to buy. Please keep me informed , I could take others from the San Antonio Area. :p
