Saw it with very low expectations. Left kind of surprised that it was a decent movie. Was as good as Rec.
How can any movie about an exorcism/devil stuff/Satan be rated PG-13? How can any horror movie be rated PG-13 and be remotely scary? This whole trend of PG-13 horror movies is a total ratings fail and really irritates me for some reason. Not interested.
you guys are all wrong.. The reviews might not be hot, due to the blair witch esque type ending.. but this is possibly the best scary movie i've seen since the first exorcist.. good story, great acting, surprise ending... not your typical modern horror film, where your bound to see sex scenes and women stabbed naked, and then they kill the bad guy but the bad guys still alive.. this is good stuff.. i normally hate horror movies cause they are all the same, i was extremely surprised.. and it's just alot different then what i expected in general.
My wife and I saw this movie last night with low expectations. She thought it was OK but I thought it sucked. Have no clue what happened at the end...and the way the video in the movie was shot made it nauseous and that rarely happens to me.
Why does the devil always go after little girls [pedo]? Why not some terminator looking dude that could really cause some havoc?
Dunno if I can see this in public. I believe in people becoming possessed, so regardless of the plot, I'd probably becoming incontinent for 2 hours. Ha... When it comes out on DVD, I'll check it out. The original Exorcist still scares me. Even that miserable child from The Ring scared me. Something about kids in scary movies...
I have a thing for horror movies (non-gory), but if this is a Blair Witch Project kinda thing, I'm probably gonna pass. Camera shaking for 90 minutes is bad for the stomach. It's not unique, it doesn't give a "different" perspective, it's stupid.
Haven't seen it yet, but based upon the trailer....looks to polished to me....if anyone gets what I'm saying. Mockumentary style films should have a dirtier look IMO. Of course, being a bit picky here probably. Read some reviews, mostly mixed.
