This should be entertaining and will be watching it... Wish Houston had their stadium already to showcase...
You don't showcase a 30,000 seat stadium for an All-Star game. Even it was built, there's no way the All-Star game would be played there.
Yeah I was going to say the same. They've sold way more than 30,000 tickets for this thing. Just way too big of a market here to use a small stadium, even if it looks nice.
Last year, it was played at Rio Tinto in Salt Lake vs Everton. They played Chelsea at Toyota Park in Chicago... Just saying they have bigger stadiums in those cities.
"There are some notable omissions, though, which are the result of injuries and World Cup recovery time. These include: Wayne Rooney (World Cup), Antonio Valencia (injury), Rio Ferdinand (injury), Nemanja Vidic (World Cup), Gary Neville (injury), Park Ji-Sung (World Cup), Owen Hargreaves (injury), Anderson (injury), Michael Carrick (World Cup), Patrice Evra (World Cup), and Michael Owen (injury)." http://houston.sbnation.com/2010/7/9/1561189/manchester-united-roster-america Does anyone know if these guys are still out? Last I read Rio might be in shape for start of Barclay's season.
But they're playing the most popular soccer club in the world. Those years they played West Ham United and Everton. Not very big draws.
Javier "El Chicharito" Hernandez probably will play for Manchester United, his debut with the Manchester jersey!!
Nah Rio's got another six weeks on injury list. Will miss start so Vidic and Wes/Evans prolly for opening match of season.
I heard on tv that there's only 2,000 tickets left. Hopefully the MLS All Stars don't flatter themselves because everyone will be there to see Manchester United. And I know plenty female "fans" who will be there just for Chicharito.
I've heard Chicharito ain't playing. I heard that he will make his debut against his former club Chivas. I'm still going though. Gotta show off my new EspaƱa jersey fresh with a new Spoiler
