I would like to see Garnett try that arm hacking BS on Artest in the finals and see what happens.

I still think one of the central focus points is the PG position not the height advantage of Gasol and Bynum who is still too raw for my taste.
Don't know how bad the spasms of Rondo are. BUT 24 vs. 35 years of Fisher
    Just wow.

i agree...i've been thinking that too. took the regular season on cruise control, so people started to count them out. then put it together when it mattered most. contributions all over the place.

I hate the Celtics. Bunch of flopping douchebags on that team. In the perfect case scenario everyone on that team would be hospitalized suffering from some rare sort of spontaneous paralysis or something...

Go Lakers, Magic couldn't finish the job, so I'm going to hop on the Lakers' bandwagon.

I mentioned this in the East finals and Celts appreciation threads, they seem to have their veteran superstar talent that has finally meshed just at the right time which now seems to have been their plan all along. I am digging this Celts team and expect them to finish the Lakers in 6.

I think the comparison to the 1969 Celtics is better as both these Celtics and those Celtics consisted of great players who were past their prime. Hakeem was definitely still in his prime and Drexler not far off. Also, the 1995 Rockets were a 2 star team with role players while the 1969 and 2010 Celtics rely on more than 2 stars.

I think the later Spurs Championship teams might be a better comparison: older team with experience cruise control through regular season before hitting their stride in the playoffs.

Yeah dude that ***** was crazy. He should have been ejected for that. He was punching Dwights wrist on purpose.

well the celtics have the same team...just needed to get healthy. Had they been healthy they would have been a lot higher....the '95 just needed some help. Teams sort of figured them out after their first ring and Dream needed a Robin, so i would say their situations were different.

I really like their guard combo of Rondo/Robinson, its similar to the rockets Brooks/Lowry in how their games compliments each other so well....

Personally I got the Celtics over Lakers(who I really doubt the Suns will beat in 7 games)...

it is somewhat similar. however, the celtics are winning more on balanced contributions from everybody. hakeem was still balling out of control primarily when we went on our run.

a different person stars on the celts each series. that's the difference i see though.

Wow. Ejected for hitting his arm? He was doing it hard and in the open so the ref would call the illegal handcheck by Dwight. If he was trying to hurt him he would have thrown a cheap elbow to the back of the head or to the face like Dwight does.

I don't mind the current Celtics as much as most people. Rondo is a straight up baller, Ray Allen is a class act and Pierce is a great player. KG is a bit of a douche, but I can take him in small doses.

I could never, ever cheer for the Lakers, though, even with Ron.

    Go C's!!!!

They were thought to be the third best team in the west. Not many people thought they had a chance, but its not like they were the 6th seed. They were resting a bunch of their starters as well.

pierce is getting too overrated for my taste. a great player wouldn't be a ghost for an entire series like he was v. the cavs.
