link Haha, I'm surprised Texas isn't numero 1. Well, it's not surprising that New York is the state with worst drivers. Maybe they haven't seen Houston traffic.
the problem with drivers in houston are the transplants i dont know if there is another metroplex that has such large streets and freeways that allow driving at high speeds, i know of at least a few people who have come from aout of town and they said that they dont have roads or freeways like 59, or hwy 249, and then add the rain factor, people who come from southern california have no idea how to manuever a texas storm
Actually, they're 4th. This list is confusing. It's the other way around. The worst states are at the bottom.
My state of Georgia sucks at driving. They try to kill you in Atlanta. They just try to wreck you in Macon(where I work). They all drive 10mph under the speed limit and still wreck all the time in Warner Robins(Where I live). Last time I was in Houston traffic was fine, aside from everyone running red lights by riding each others asses so you couldn't get between them.
You don't know terror until you've been in LA, on the 405 during rush hour. Houston traffic is like a tollway at 2 AM compared to that.
That's why we are good drivers to beat the horrendous traffic. In LA, 80 mile is pretty much the threshold for a speeding ticket.
I lived that terror for 5 years. I used to commute 65 miles one way crossing whole L.A. 5 is probably the worst.
Oh yes, I remember that very well when i was in LA around 2-3pm. Traffic SUCKED. I can't imagine during the rush hour. :-|
Arkansas should be in the top 10. Me and my girl both have relatives in Houston and when they come up here it is one of their to 2 complaints.
^^^ It's the section after the 5 meet and before 10 on 405 south. There used to a construction, so one lane was closed like around Getty's center. It was really bad. Then if you try to take the surface road around it, it was equally bad. The roads around UCLA is as congested. LA definitely has the most cars I have ever seen in the country.
Wait, are we talking about traffic or bad drivers? Two totally different things. I can see how LA traffic would be the worst, but that doesn't mean there are more bad drivers there than Houston. And as far as the article goes, I don't judge a driver by how he did on some test. I judge him by what kind of idiotic things he does on the roadway. Tough to put anyone ahead of Houston in that regard. That being said, I can see how everyone would think the place they live has the worst drivers. I'm probably guilty of that.
fixed it for you yeah i deal with the hell hole that is Los Angeles traffic sitting between some of the biggest freeway exchanges in the country, the 10-405 and the 10-110. houston traffic/drivers arent that bad just drive way too slow for my taste
