2008 mock nfl draft - this site currently has the texans picking 1st

I'm about to start a site called RM95's Football Zone. When I put the Houston Texans as the Super Bowl winner next season, will someone post it here? Thanks!!

 

Who are we to doubt the credibility of such a football guru as Walter...

 

I think Walter hates Texas. He's got the Cowgirls picking second. I hate the Cowgirls too Walter, but they did make the playoffs last year.

 

That would be awsome!!! Then we can hijack that hillbilly up north for god knows how many picks just so he can draft his Razorback RB.

Could even be a Hershel Walker type trade.

If you're agreeing with the presumption that the Texans will have the worst record next year, please explain how you came to that conclusion.

 

Must be confusing them with the Astros.

 

isn't there another 08 mock draft by CNNSI(or ESPN) that has the cowboys takeing Sweed 3rd overall? someone post a link.

 

Texans have drafted inside the top 10 all but 1 year. Projecting them as having the #1 pick is less a leap of faith than projecting them with a winning season.

 

Not if you look at the team objectively and not let unrelated past issues (like five seasons of front office and coaching ineptitude) cloud your judgment. After increasing their win total from 2-6 wins, getting rid of a major problem at QB, adding a proven RB (even though he's not a Pro-Bowler any longer), adding quality depth help on the defense as well as adding a very talented DT wouldn't typically lead any person with half a brain to think that the Texans would draft nine spots higher next draft, barring injuries.

 

OK, then how about a realistic projection? What do you think? 7 wins? 8? 3? 1?

 

1st pick sounds about right. The Texans stink.

 

Trolls stink. You are obviously exposing your "knowledge" of football if you really believe there's a good chance the Texans will have the number one pick in next year's draft.

 

Keep it up, and he'll put you on his ignore list. I have to say, I'm enjoying being a member of it.

 

The Texans better pick Bobby Reid. BR is a Houston native, and a Rockets fan. BR is a winner. BR came up huge in the Independence Bowl.



BR is a Houston Sports legend already, and passing on BR would be unconscionable. I will never root for the Texans again if they pass on BR.

 

Aceshigh always dogging the Texans b/c they suck so much, but he's always defending the Astros and the great Brad Lidge.
