The only movie I saw out of all of them was Poseidon, which I thought was pretty decent. I have a raincheck at Blockbuster for Employee of the Month...
I dont get the hate for Texas Chainsaw. I have seen FAR worse scary movies. And its not like that series was ever actually good in the first place. It didnt have much to live up to.
The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of the best horror films of all times. It's even taught in film schools, and so I'd say these crappy remakes and sequels are bringing it down quite a bit.
That is too funny. They must have been bad. Need pics. Actually, I thought the Pink Panther remake was pretty good. I expected it to suck, but Steve Martin (who I think can be too over the top) did a great job. Of course it still doesn't come close to Peter Sellers.
I've seen all the family films, except for Garfield, but I'm sure I'll rent it... they're weren't bad, but not outstanding, IMHO...I saw Happily Never After and that sucked...
How can she not win this? I kind of wanted to see this movie but I probably won't just because she's in it. Same with Dukes of H. She has huge breasts. We GOT it already. Now please take your HUGE horse-mouth and your pimp/father and just go away. Your reality show is over. We don't care about you anymore.
i wanted to see this movie becuz andy dick is in it, but then i remembered Dane Cook and Jessica Simpson are the stars so i decided to spare myself.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre is really a movie that appeals to horror movie buffs, rather than the general movie going public. It's a LOT more psychological in nature than your typical teen slasher flick. It's as much about Leatherface's relationship with his family, who are scarier than Leatherface himself. Plus, the fact that Leatherface lives at the end isn't typical of the genre, either.
I liked Wicker Man. I never saw the original version, so it was kinda neat. It had a really nice scenery and setting for the movie. The dvd version has an alternate shocking ending.
I haven't seen the Wicker Man remake but did watch the trailer. In the trailer Cage's character has a wife and kid, with the original movie in mind, how is that supposed to work?
I've never seen the original so I'm not sure what parts do or not match with the first one. I have read that the setting is different in this new one. I watch a bunch of movies (4-5 a month) and I really enjoyed this film. I'm really into the cinematography and musical score in movies and I thought it was superb in this manner. It also had suspense till the very end. Apparently, the Wicker Man at the theater's has a different more tame ending as compared to the alternate shock ending on the dvd.
I own the original Wicker Man, and it's a decent flick. The setting of the original is an isolated British Isle, and its ending is pretty uncompromising (I won't give it away). I would recommend renting it if you have the chance (I only bought it because there was no Netflix at the time, and the local Schlockbuster didn't carry it).
Um, are we talking about the same movie? I think it's great because...... Spoiler t's a completely unapologetic, uncompromising and twisted account of a series of murders filmed with an artistry and creativity far beyond what you'd expect from the genre and the budget
