Which players has surprised you with their play?

    This is my list:

    1. Baron Davis. I honestly think he didn't have much left in his body to be performing at this high of a level. His game has been outstanding and this really brings back memories from his Hornets v. Orlando days.

    2. Stephen Jackson. Wow. He was on my fantasy team this year so I know what he does statistically but he's surprisingly been the yin to Davis' yang. Despite his ball handling ineptitude, the most important thing he brings to this Warriors team is *gasp* leadership.

    3. Vince Carter. Talk about turning back the clock. This is almost like vintage Carter. Maybe playing against the Raptors lit a fire under his ass. Whatever it is, he's been playing pretty well. Then again..it's a contract year...

    4. Luol Deng. The guy goes 1 for 9 in the first half and comes back with a 9 for 12 2nd half. It's almost ritual that he'll put together fantastic crunch time numbers. I didn't watch a lot of Bulls basketball during the regular season, but I'm a true believer in Luuu-Ol

    5. Nene. Been holding his own against Duncan. I thought he was done for after his knee injury.

I just dont think there really is an outstanding player this playoffs so far.

BD - He is always all-star when healthy, no surprise!
S Jax - This guy got heart! But we knew it when he was with spurs, no suprise either!
VC - .... he's been on and off 2 bad games then 2 good games.. i dont think
    is a suprise
Loul Deng - Has been a very solid player all season long. I like him very much!
Nene - Solid but not really surprise.

I m more surprise of Okur's defense on yao and Harpring's offense this the rockets-jazz series! Who would have think of Okur stoppin our so-called dominating center almost single handed? Who would have think of Harpring abuse T-mac?

How about Dirk? I thought he would only start choking when the mavs went deeper into the playoffs.

No one so far, I would say the closest to surprising would be ...mm..Kobe. He just doesn't seem as dominant offensively as I thought he would be.

Dirk is playing like crap but that doesn't surprise me, since he is notorious for choking in the playoffs.

Baron is playing to his potential and its nothing new, he is doing what we all know he can do. I think the 2nd round will show an emergence of that "surprise" player. I think the biggest would be Tmac.. so much talk and nothing.

I'm surprised Barbosa hasn't been mentioned. As a 6th man for the Suns, he's been absolutely key in them winning. Too fast, too good.

... But then I guess people noticed that he played great in last year's playoffs as well?

I'm leaning towards our entire bench, not just Luther. Too bad this stinks beause it's not the way i wanted to be suprised. I know we're a thin team, JVG doesn't even try to use the bench, but at leat give us 20 a night out of 7 players. Just average 3 a piece collectively!

To me, T-mac hasn't done anything he's not capable of or expected of doing on this stage. Especially when he knows he HAS to get out of the 1st round this time or he and us will be hearing that same old clip against the Pistons for another year alot more than it's already been played. And that's every night right now.
