Hockey season is here. Thank God for that. What is up with some of the new sweaters? Some of them suck. Just because the fabric is new does not mean they have to change the design on the sweaters. The Stars new sweaters suck.

Apparently you have enough time to post in a thread clearly marked NHL. Red Wings start tomorrow! My roommate from Michigan is a diehard Red Wings fan so they're my adopted team this year.
I like hockey. But I can't believe how much damage was done to this sport. ESPN has seemingly black-balled it. There is zero coverage of the start of the season. It's so fringe it's silly.
They did it to themselves with the lockout and over-expansion. I used to go see the Kings when they had Gretzky and I lived in LA. Now, I don't pay much attention to it until the playoffs. I like the Red Wings & the NJ Devils, and the Habs and the Maple Leafs.
Canucks better have some scoring this year...we've got some young guys with speed - hopefully they'll stick.
i really wish hockey got more coverage. it's a fun sport if you get into it. it's like basketball just lower scoring and there are no fouls! well, you get what i mean...
I think I read that there's a good chance they'll be back on ESPN next year. Also, you have to keep in mind that the timing of their season opening isn't all that great for media coverage. Of course, ESPN would be covering them more on Sportscenter if they carried the games, but they still wouldn't get a lot with the NFL getting into full swing and the crazy last weekend of baseball/opening week of baseball playoffs. 6:00 tonight!! NHL Hockey on the flatscreen!!!
