Going to be a great matchup. I hope the Mavs get swept, but I think it will end in 6 with the Spurs dominating.

    What do you guys expect?

Boring Stars... Boring role players... Boring style of play.... Boring coaching and Boring Series overall. In all seriousness the Clippers vs. Suns series is going to be such a great matchup that nobody will even care about this series.

It could be a series for the ages: this is the best Mavs team EVER and a Spurs team marred with injured star players who're playing nowhere near 100%.

Let's just say that the Spurs are ripe for an upset by a solid team like the Mavs. If the Mavs don't win this year, they will never have a better chance than they have now. Genobili, Duncan, and just the last game Parker are all hobbled.

Still, never bet against the Spurs, but this is easily the best Dallas team yet.

Couldn't have said it better. I think the Mavs will be crushed if they don't win. The key matchup will be Bowen guarding Dirk. If he frustrates Dirk, the Spurs will win. If Dirk has a good series, the Mavs will probably win. I agree with you the Spurs look ripe for the picking. Tony Parker must have a great series for the Spurs. (Next season, he will be their best player IMO). Even though TD is slowing down, he should have a field day against that donut hole team. Dampier and Diop have been terrible. The center position is the Mavs very vulnerable Achilles heel. Both Nazr & Rasho have been terrible also so TD will play center on offense.

I loathe both of these teams, and they have very little appeal in general. I won't be watching...I'll tune into Phoenix/LAC and Cleveland/Detroit for the most part. I think we'll see the Spurs back in the finals, but I'd like to see the Clippers make a nice run. They match up pretty well with San Antonio.

Mavs choked at every playoff year
you think this year is going to be different?

(not saying they will definitely lose in this matchup but they will definitely lose next round against the clippers)

shame shame. this just shows how ignorant you really are.

I agree with tigermission1. the Spurs are tired and hobbled. this will be the Mavs' best chance to get to the finals. It could potentially be a thriller. However, whoever still standing in the end will be deeply wounded.

Look for the new Spurs to make some noise in this round. Other than that, let's hope TD and Manu will turn it up a notch. They are hobbled, but I think they are also growing into the playoffs. Remember last year, they also played a hard first round?

    Spurs win 4:3.

just because someone has a different opinion than you doesn't make them ignorant

anyways, I think the Spurs will beat the Mavs in 7 and probably advance to the finals, though I'd like to see the winner of PHX/LAC get to the finals

whatever. the guy said "In all seriousness ... that nobody will even care about this series".

in all seriousness i wouldn't give a damn to what he thinks if he speaks only for his stupid self. but he's got the balls to speaks for everyone here, so he deserves a kick in the arse.

also in half seriousness, doesn't "Asian Sensation" sounds like a name for a man in a certain "profession" that you'll find in certain sections in the local circulations? or is it just my biased opinion? ;)

just curious so i searched google image, and lo and behold, looky what i found (ahh the finger...) :D

He never attacked anyone personally; no reason for you to start insulting. Even if he's probably wrong.

Yeah shouldn't be too entertaining to watch, none of the second round series this year really are. Cle-Det is the only decent one since I want to see what LeBron can do against a team that plays defense unlike the Wizards.
That being said, I'm feeling a Spurs in 7.

Actually, the Mavs were never the potential "greatest team ever" that Indy started flashing during last year.

I think a more apt comparison is Mavs NBA = Oilers NFL.

It's going to be a heck of a series. I just want to see it go the distance because they are entertaining games. I hate both team equally, so I'd love to see them both lose.

Based on the first half, its clear that this is the best Mavs team ever. They are very deep and their speed is causing tony to get away from Duncan. If i were a spurs fan, i would be very worried because the mavs can very well win this game and at this style, beat the spurs in 6
