I'll start it. Sam and Cuttino showed their worth. Cuttino playing good help D on Carmelo and Sam hitting key buckets to stop Denver's runs. Clippers Victory! Also, Kenny's giving props to Sam on Inside the NBA. Calling Sam a leader and making Elton Brand and Cory Magette better players. 94 Rockets will NEVER DIE.
Leadership, heart, fire, and passion is exactly why we need Cassell on this team...Livingston is on the come-up, which hopefully makes Sam dispensable, leading him right back to where the magic started: Houston.
living in la i've always like the clippers after the rockets (and i hate the lakers) so this year the choice for me unfortunately is simple i am going clips all the way baby! last night game was a scare they had control of the game and almost lost it.
Now we see why I wanted to trade off Stro for Cuttino. It wasn't just for Cat's offence. But I guess it's too late. Now that the Clips have seen what Cuttino can do, they're going to hang onto him. Damn!
Lots of posters mentioned that we did have a chance to get Sam for JH. JH is a professional with likable characters, but his loser mentality vs. Sam's desire for win and passion, damn, we missed the opportunity. If we had Sam as our leader, even with those injuries we suffered, we might still have made the playoffs. I hated it so much to see Sam and Horry go to get Barkley back then. Maybe, there is a chance we can get him back this offseason. With his mentoring, I would believe that Rafer will get to another level as well.
How the **** can you root for the clippers. This team PURPOSELY LOST GAMES so that they could play the nuggets in the first round and get home court advantage. You would think finally making the playoffs is enough, but nope, the clippers had to throw games so that they could get an easier situation in the playoffs. Aint no lie here, they finished the season real bad and the coach pretty much flat out admitted that they threw games. I rootin against them with all my life.
Well, if we did that last year, may be we would've made it past the first round...we would've played the Sonics, I believe.
You can't blame the Clippers for taking advantage of the NBA's crappy playoff seeding system. Gee, let's see, meet a 44 win Denver team that won their division by default, or get cornholed by a 60 win Mavericks team that is a finals contender...tough decision. So, bplld, I take it you weren't a big fan of lottery race 2006?
And home court advantage too. Bet the Grizz are real proud of their strong finish now. Limp into the playoffs injured (again), against Dallas (again), for another quick four game series...
oh vowel-less dude the grizzles were trying to throw that game too. they sat gasol and miller out. the clips sat sam and kaman out... they started VIN BAKER.
