• Troy Aikman, QB, 1989-00 Cowboys • Harry Carson, LB, 1976-88 Giants • L.C. Greenwood, DE, 1969-81 Steelers • Russ Grimm, G, 1981-91 Redskins • Claude Humphrey, DE, 1968-74, 1976-78 Falcons, 1979-1981 Eagles • Michael Irvin, WR, 1988-99 Cowboys • Bob Kuechenberg, G, 1970-84 Dolphins • John Madden, coach, 1969-78 Raiders • Art Monk, WR, 1980-1993 Redskins, 1994 Jets, 1995 Eagles • Warren Moon, QB, 1984-93 Oilers, 1994-96 Vikings, 1997-98 Seahawks, 1999-2000 Chiefs • Derrick Thomas, LB, 1989-99 Chiefs • Thurman Thomas, RB, 1988-99 Bills, 2000 Dolphins • Reggie White, DE/DT, 1985-92 Eagles, 1993-98 Packers, 2000 Panthers • Rayfield Wright, T, 1967-79 Dallas Cowboys • Gary Zimmerman, T, 1986-92 Vikings, 1993-97 Broncos Damn, that's a pretty stacked list. I think Aikman, Monk, Moon, Derrick Thomas, Thurman Thomas, and Reggie White will get in. Irvin, Madden, and Greenwood have an outside shot. I don't think that Michael Irvin has the stats to get in on his first try. Emmit Smith was the real focus of the Cowboys offense of the 90's. I don't really know much about the rest of the players. Anybody want to fill us in?
Gary Zimmerman was considered in his day to be the most dominant offensive lineman in the league. Once he joined the Broncos, their running game really developed into one of the league's best.
"I'll take 'Ha, llofa ME' for 400, Alex" "It's 'Hall Of Fame', Mr. Connery." ---------------------- Madden, Art Monk, and Reggie White this year (I don't know all of the pre-80s dudes). What is the maximum of inductees and how many times can they be nominated?
Troy Aikman, QB, 1989-00 Cowboys Derrick Thomas, LB, 1989-99 Chiefs Reggie White, DE/DT, 1985-92 Eagles, 1993-98 Packers, 2000 Panthers Art Monk, WR, 1980-1993 Redskins, 1994 Jets, 1995 Eagles Bob Kuechenberg, G, 1970-84 Dolphins (My sentimental choice)
Man, I thought there would be a little more love for Warren Moon. All he did was finish in the top five all time in passing yards, completions, and TD passes and make a measly nine pro bowls...
i think warren moon and thurman thomas will get in eventually. i don't think they're "first ballot" hall-of-famers.
I forgot about that. Since it's the "pro football" hall of fame, I wonder if they take into account CFL numbers. On that note, has there ever been a player nominated for the hall of fame that spent most of his career in the CFL? If not, Doug Flutie might be the first...
I know the Moon couldn't win big games argument is gonna come up so I will just write this now, Moon won a Rose Bowl in college, and won championship(s) in Canada and only became know as someone who couldn't get over the hump when he got to a franchise notoriously known for not getting over the hump.
