Well, every now & then I see one my old quotes pop-up about the moves we made 2 seasons ago.

Thought I'd make mine clear & bold this year:

I like Battier, but believe we gave too much away to get him.

I think we were fools for putting all of our offseason hopes on Mike James.

I don't believe that there are any FA's left, or any viable trades to be made that will help this team much.

Two seasons ago, with a healthy Yao & Tmac we took the Mavs to the end before we ran out of gas. That was with a better Rockets team & a worse Mavs team.

    So here it is:

As things stand, with no significant FA's left to grab & no financially viable trades to be made, we are just an average team. A first round playoff team IF Yao AND Tmac stay healthy all season.

We have crap for depth. We have no third option. We have to rely on our two superstars to play HEAVY minutes night-in, night-out just to be competitive, much less dominate.

I'll watch & cheer every game, but we will have another average season at best or be counting late lottery ping pong balls next summer.

    Quote me on it.

Rockets beat TWolves in Western Conference Finals. In the post game interview Yao comments, "F*ck Mike James".

As long as Yao and T-Mac are healthy, the Rockets will go far into the playoffs this next season. See the signature for another quote.

Although it rides heavily on the first two, Yao, McGrady, and Battier are the best three players on the same team in basketball.
