    2005 WSOP Main Event *Spoilers*

Anyone else watching this tonight? Jesus Ferguson, Jennifer Harman, and Phil Laak got busted on the first day.

Greg Raymer's a machine. His extreme good luck seems to have followed him from the last main event.

I like watching poker, but Norman Chad almost makes the WSOP unwatchable.

Yeah, we need exclusive coverage done by Shana Hiatt. :D

I was there when Chris busted out. When he walked out of the main hall, this one girl said, "Hey, there's Jesus, he's on break let's ask for an autograph." And the girl's boyfriend replied (really loudly so everyone in the hallway can hear), "he busted out, don't bother him."

Chris heard it and turned around a little. Awkward silence ensues.

I took this funny picture of him and a fan. It looks like the guy is paying some kind of religious homage to Jesus. :D

Of course, this guy is always my favorite:

A close second is Phil going for a inconspicuous nosepicking: :D

I've been waiting so long for this now. I'm a poker addict; I play at least 3 times a week. I've got every episode of this years Main Event set to be Tivo'd. I'll see em all for sure.

i like norman chad's commentary. it seems to fit my style of humor. but it also seems like it probably doesn't fit a lot of others'. oh well.

and somehow i've gone from hating to really liking phil hellmuth. i think ever since i saw him call what down cards 2 guys had on this televised event where they didn't show the cards i started to think of him as a badass. now his arrogance is just funny and entertaining.

it's just insane how much money is on the line in this thing with 5700+ entering. it would've been cool if they raised the 1st place prize to $10M but they stopped short.

i followed the tournament on the internet and I just have to say that I thought the main event was pretty disappointing compared to the past years. some real donkeys go pretty far.

Man, Harman had some tough beats tonight. Daniel Negreanu got knocked out on the second session too. Tough days for some of the regulars, Raymer is still riding that train of luck that carried him through last year. Too bad my roommate already looked up who won and ruined it for me

I just want to see a feature table with Raymer and Matasaw.

    Farha v. Hudson was insane...

    FIRST HAND.

    Farha A-Tx Husdon TT

    Flop AAT

Both hit the boat on the flop, Farha's bigger.
Hudson bets, Farha raises, Hudson goes all in. Farha calls.

10,000 buy in, time it took to lose it 90 seconds.

Plus that guy hitting his one out to give him the straight flush and bust Jennifer Harman's Full House of Q's was nuts.

Raymer is damn calling station. Hate that guy.

I believe what you meant to say was, "Raymer is an extremely damn lucky calling station."

He almost never loses coin flips in the main event, and outdraws people when he doesn't have it like it's nothing.

I liked Farha until this year's event, until I realized that HE was a frickairn' calling station. I hate it when those Omaha players, with their draws, cross over.

I love it when those Hold 'Em players cross over to Omaha.

Sign of a Hold Em player at an Omaha table.

Pocket cards As Ah Kh Kd

Board - Ks Qs Js Ts (Blank)

    Guy goes all in.

Gets confused when he doesn't win with the royal flush and the guy with 9s 8s rakes in the pot.

    :D

Caught reruns of last week's episodes last night. Awesome. Phil Helmuth going out is always hilarious, regardless of how he goes out. Mike spouting off was hilarious. "F you, give me another ten!" Haha.

Doyle and Annie Duke also got knocked out last night. That human calculator guy was nuts.
