CNN.Si released their Player Value Rankings. Wasnt there a thread asking why the spurs are so good? Well, I'm a true Rockets fan but also a true basketball fan. It doesn't suprise me Tim Duncan is #1....dude has got it all. Heres the top 50...whadyya think? 2003-04 Player Value Rankings Tim Duncan 1 Kevin Garnett 2 Shaquille O'Neal 3 Tracy McGrady 4 Dirk Nowitzki 5 Kobe Bryant 6 Shawn Marion 7 Paul Pierce 8 Jermaine O'Neal 9 Allen Iverson 10 Jason Kidd 11 Elton Brand 12 Antoine Walker 13 Gary Payton 14 Steve Francis 15 Stephon Marbury 16 Vince Carter 17 Jamal Mashburn 18 Shareef Abdur-Rahim 19 Ray Allen 20 Sam Cassell 21 Yao Ming 22 Karl Malone 23 Pau Gasol 24 Amare Stoudemire 25 Glenn Robinson 26 Ben Wallace 27 Rasheed Wallace 28 Chris Webber 29 Steve Nash 30 Jalen Rose 31 Michael Finley 32 Andre Miller 33 Lamar Odom 34 Richard Hamilton 35 Gilbert Arenas 36 Nick Van Exel 37 Predrag Stojakovic 38 Jerry Stackhouse 39 Jason Terry 40 Kenyon Martin 41 Carmelo Anthony 42 Juwan Howard 43 Baron Davis 44 Matt Harpring 45 Antawn Jamison 46 LeBron James 47 Andrei Kirilenko 48 Wally Szczerbiak 49 Ron Artest 50
Karl Malone ahead of Cwebb, Sheed Wallace and Ben Wallace? I think not. Shawn Marion at 7? Puhleeeeeeze . And Antoine Walker should be at number 20 or so
there must a mistake...hmmm, perhaps fantasy bball rankings that list is crap. i would take yao, amare, both wallaces, peja and more all before walker or reef, or malone or cassell
weird, steve beats out marbury but loses to walker, brand, and the matrix. not that marion doesn't put up damn impressive number but i've never seen him that high on anything other than fantasy rating (i think he's like 4th on yahoo in my league). and yes, webber at 29 is ridiculous. he scores, rebounds, and is the best passing big man in the league. should be much higher.
i agree with raven lunatic.. YAO MING is more valuable than Sam Cassell! WTF Shawn Marion number 7?!? He is the best small forward in the game...but he was kinda inconsistent last year... I'm pretty happy that Steve is #15.
Dallas #'s - 5 13 30 32 46 Lakers#'s - 3 6 14 23 107 Hell, tip it off on a best of seven and give the winner the ring!
Man that's nothing! We got a starting lineup of: #15 #22 #62 #156 and #224 Forget the Lakers and Mavs!
Marion #7? Walker #13? Cassell in front of Yao? Amare in front of Wallace, Wallace and Webber? Peja behind Hamilton and Arenas? I want to know what are their criteria.
Shouldn't this thread be moved to the Fantasy forum? I thought they were talking about real player evaluations.
