The list was just released yesterday: http://www.mcdonalds.com/countries/usa/sports/allamerican/boys/roster/index.html As usual Duke and NC cleaned up with 4 guys and 3, respectively. The Horns' Brad Buckman made the team! UT is the only Big XII school with a MickeyD's AA. Next year we will have 3 McD's AA's: Buckman, TJ, and Boddicker. Kansas didn't have one, and A&M's stud recruit, Antione Wright didn't make the team. Also, the two guys from Oklahoma got into some legal trouble and were left off. Still can't believe four guys from Texas make it. Look forward to seeing Brad help us win the Big XII next year.
I noticed a DaMatha player on the East Squad. Who was the last DaMatha player in this game. Seems like it has been an awfully long time.
In case you haven't heard his name yet (which will undoubtedly change), Lebron James is the hottest player in High School right now, and he's only a Junior. Everywhere he plays, there is nothing but high praise for him. The only film I've seen of him has been on ESPN, but from what I've heard, he's Jordan and Magic rolled into one...Definitely a #1 overall pick. I don't think colleges are even going to bother sending him recruiting letters next season... Anybody seen this kid play? Is he THAT good?
Agreed Boddicker's an All American in practice, and a bum in games. I once saw him shooting around at the REC, and he was just nailing 3's one after another. Too bad he shoots like 35% from the field in actual games. What a softie.
A local product from Houston is going to be a McDs All American. Nina Norman is going to be in the inaugural female McDs team. I've played basketball with her a few times when I went to school with her. I got me on tape, cleanly blocking her layup. I think it is still over at the high school somewhere. I hope she becomes a WNBA star so i can show my kids and say, yeah, yeeeah, I played her ball, I whooped her ass. This better not be the highlight of my life.
LeBron will be a star in the NBA. I've never seen him play, but my friend has been to wherever LeBron plays in Ohio and told me that he's for real, the hype is deserved. I believe him.
How come LeBron isnt on the roster I really like Sean Dockery, hes gonna be a Solid player in the nba
