Don't curse, yell, or spank your kids on a flight, and don't even think about joining the mile-high club. It's all terrorism now. http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-airline-felonies20-2009jan20,0,5468299.story
It should be noted that none of this happened under the original version of the PATRIOT Act. The updated version that came from a Democratic Congress enabled it.
Taking a mother away from her children via a supposed "anti-terrorism" law for doing nothing whatsoever affiliated with terrorism. This really burns me up. The entire Bush admin response to 9/11 was a GIANT ****-UP.
You can blame the idiot politicians for initially passing this tripe, but it's the airlines themselves(with a bit of help from TSA) that take advantage of & abuse that power. When I can't even make a complaint about crappy service without getting hassled by a cop, that's bs. What other private business has this power? We bend over and take it out without lubrication from the airlines and what can we do about it? Nothing....just try and get the hell outta there as quick as possible and call it a success if you don't end up in the slammer because some ticket agent with pms didn't like the way you looked at her.
Zero tolerance equals zero intelligence. I hate reading stories like this. There is no justice in them.
You know, I'm trying hard not to be weird because we have a dem for president. In fact, I'm happy for America. This is great stuff going on. But then I come in here and see this, you just make me want to spit. Enter with love, leave with hate. Just keep going with this crap and the hate will never leave.
Unruly passengers* do tend to create troubles during air travels. Simple solution: charge them with something not defined by Patriot Act. Everybody will be happy then. Problem solved. *: non-terrorist
There's an easy solution to this. Just turn down the cabin pressure and everyone passes out. No conscious passengers no problem.
Not like this wasn't expected... "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both." Benjamin Franklin
Follow up Q: if Obama does not repeal the patriot act, what do you think that says about his administration in comparison to Bush's?
