with garnett leaving minnesota, we will sweep minnesota and seatlle again...8-0 vs. those two teams will be huge. we lost 2 close ones at minnestoa last year and now they will be without james and garnett....
"In the NBA every team is able to beat you. There are no weak teams." Signed, The estranged ex-rockets coach JVG <img src="http://www.nbainfo.dk/fusion_images/news/jeff%20van%20gundy%20(AP).jpg">
The sucky thing about the NBA is not every team comes to play every night (esp. the Rockets). In my opinion, we've lost games to crappy teams in the last couple of years because we take them for granted and don't put 100% and only show up to play against the good teams. Let's hope that doesn't happen this season..
tee jay hoo suh man zode tee jay how's ur momma You quoting "championship" & that dude's voice in my head FTW!
Well said dntrwl, you have to go out and win every game nobody is just going to give it to you just because you have the better team on paper. You still have to prove every night on the court that you are apart of the elite, just ask Dallas and Detriot about living up to the hype. And because we are the Roxs and are getting some publicity for the moves we have already made this offseason and more moves that we are still planning to make, teams are looking at Houston now as the team to beat like never before. But I think the Roxs will be up for the challenge and be a solid contender this year in the west. I just dont want us as fans to think teams are going to roll over for us because we still have to earn our success.
I agree this is big for the west and the Rockets...We are lucky that Garnett is leaving the west and going to the east...teams like LAL AND GSW AND PHX are sad but its great for the ROX..= ) SCHEDULE REALEASED AUGUST 1ST EVERYONE WHO CANT WAIT!!?!!?
not so fast.... We for some reason have trouble with NOH and they have been consistantly bad. Personally, I don't think we can cast out Minnesota so soon. Good teams lose to bad teams all the time, look how we lost to Utah.
I am loving this optimism. I remember when we lost to bad teams with better speed than us like Toronto, NO, etc. I don't think this would be the case now, but I don't want to jinx our team or anything.
That has been a longstanding Rockets tradition since the Rudy T era. Letdowns against weaker teams are part of the Rockets DNA. Maybe Adelman can change that.
True that...its always been something the Rockets teams seem to do...i hope thats the case this year..every game really does count in the end
