There is no timetable on this. However, if you go to E-bay, people are selling their "G-Mail invitations" and there is even a web site where people are using the old bartering system to offer exchanges of goods and/or services in return for a G-Mail invite.
i just signed up for two accounts at aventuremail.com and so far so good. i guess registration is back up and running.

Just set up an account. I can't figure out how to attach a file. The entire reason I signed up was so I could send bigger files. Am I just blind or is there really no way to attach files?
