    Condoleezza Rice

This article says she's the popular choice if Cheney's heart needs a break. She would pull a lot of women and black voters away from the Democrats.

Of course, the article also says that the Democratic nominee may counter with, gulp, Hilary Clinton!

Would either of these women sway your vote?

Rice would annihilate Clinton in the debates.

I think she deserves a shot. The question is will she fill in Cheney's role as being the person who actually runs the show, or will Bush just make her a regular run of the mill VP who doesn't do much. Or she could be like Gore and have some real jobs to do, but not in charge like Cheney. This kind of reminds me of a Chris Rock joke. If Bush is reelected with Rice as VP, you just know somebody is gonna want to take out Bush so that they can kill 2 birds so to speak by having the first black and female Prez in history. I didn't make this plan up, so don't call the secret service and the fbi on me please.

I've never been able to figure out what upsets people about Hillary Rodham. She's an intelligent, outspoken woman, and I agree with her stance on most of the major issues. I'd have no problem voting for her as vice-president or president. I think Rice is also a fine choice for Republicans. I think it's more than time we had a female and/or minority president.

I think the problem with most people and Hillary is the same problem with most politicians, they pretend to care, all the while profiting off of shady backroom deals.

Plus, a lot of people lost some respect for her because she stuck by her cheating husband.

    Just some thoughts.

Yeah, and if she *left* her cheating husband then people would b**** about her being divorced. When can she win, exactly?

I believe there are probably *a few* other politicians' wives *in both parties* who may have followed the Tammy Wynette principle... Jackie, Lady Bird, Eleanor, oh, just about *all of them*? Why do we respect them as First Ladies and not Hillary, if that's the criteria?

Self-serving, sleazy, opportunistic, married to a scum-bag...those are a few of my reasons for not liking her.

Its Discrimination to say its about time we had a minority/female president. It should be based on best qualifications not sex or race. :D

I don't really have a problem with Hillary, but I have noticed that she is not particularly gracious about delivering her opinion, especially when she has the impression that those around her don't agree with her. Not that she's the only politician guilty of this, but combine that with a weak (if not completely absent) sense of humor, and you have someone that just makes people uncomfortable.

From what I gather, she seems to be a decet Senator. I think it would be in her best interest to finish at least one term before seeking the Presidency.

If Ms. Rice was Bush's VP it wouldn't change my vote since I already voted for Bush and will do it again in 2004. I think she is very smart and would make a great VP. She will only strengthen the Republican ticket.

Clinton would be a big turn off to a lot of Democrats though.

We should all vote for Clinton because Mrs. JB agrees with her stance on most issues. :D

    Spousal Abuse

This article reveals Hillary's husband-beating habits.
A husband would never get away with this behavior (if true),
even if his wife did something Bubba-esque.

I didn't think I was implying that everyone should follow my lead. I was only explaining why I didn't have a problem with her. However, if you're so eager to do my bidding, send me an e-mail -- I'm sure you could come in handy in my plan for eventual world domination. :D

I used to respect Hilary. But, her posture at GWB's post 9/11 address was disgusting and embarassing. She did not want to be there and seemed very disrespectful to our president during a very trying time.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, Hillary cannot be president, she already served 2 terms. :)

So, this thread is more about Hillary than Condoleeza? Sometimes, infamy is as good as fame. :)

Freak: So, I'm assuming you hate ALL politicians then. The only difference is that their wives are usually the one's married to the scumbag. Ask Tom Delay's wife. :)

I get the sneaking suspicion that it isn't always her personal beliefs that make people upset with Hillary, it is the fact that she is so outspoken about those beliefs and staunch in her defense of them. Damnit, little missy should be in the kitchen like a good little wifey. :D

Or maybe just maybe it is her using inside information to profit on futures livestock trading, or maybe whitewater......

Or maybe that she is doing all this all the while championing herself as a person who wants to help the poor.

    She is a typical hypocrit.
