    I think
    Torture becoming ENHANCED INTERROGATION TECHNIQUES
has to be one of the best 1984-ized terms

    It is Double Plus Good.

As someone said in the other Thread
Rape = Surprise Sex . . .. that would not surprised me to see someone use it about now

Everything has become some kind of word Games to lessen the impact
    of what it actually is.

What are you Favorite Euphemism and 1984 type terms of the modern Era.

“The more syllables a euphemism has, the further divorced from reality it is”

    --George Carlin

This admin is by far one of the most egregarious "1984-type" terminology abusers I can remember.

    WAR IS PEACE

A preemptive "war" to keep the peace. Now when has that happened?

    FREEDOM IS SLAVERY

To maintain your freedoms, we need you to surrender your civil liberties and submit to police-state type control.

    IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH

So many to choose from, my head hurts.

these were the three that immediately came to mind.

the story in the book about the jolly fat prole lady next door to the antique shop seems to fit many people in this country as well. and the thought police could easily be the wire tapping of this administration.
