Saw a bit of this Game 6 closeout at home for the Blazers.

    BLAZERS

    Bill Walton
    Maurice Lucas
    Lionel Holllins
    Johnny Davis
    Bob Gross
    Dave Twardzik

    SIXERS

    Julius Erving
    George McGinnis
    Doug Collins
    Henry Bibby
    Mike Dunleavy

Amazing this was that this was the first year that Portland had made the playoffs in seven years of existence and they go on to win the championship.

All the talk now is about having to fall down at a higher rung for a few years and then be able to win.

    What's changed?

There are more teams now and the talent is more dispersed. That's why it is harder for a team to rise out of nowhere and just win the championship.
