Nuff said.. I don't know if the Rockets are going to trade him or not. But the way he has been playin, hes worth keeping!
Well Rudy doesn't think he's playing that well aparently. He goes with that awesome three guard lineup again in the 4th Q tonight when Cato was playing great. I just don't know what to say anymore about Rudy's coaching decisions. He doesn't have a clue.
I am very excited about his play, he does seem to be getting happier, and contributing more. Way to go CATO !!! DaDakota
Cato played most of the 4th including the final 5 minutes or so. I don't understand your complaint with regards to 3 guards and Cato. He did pull Cato out at times but he wasn't sitting for long.
I specifically recall Cato pulling down an offensive board towards the end of the game. It was rather spectacular. He was behind the backboard and falling out of bounds. He tipped it with one hand to himself and threw it beyond the 3 point line. I also remember TMo subing in for Cato right at the end of the game. He may not have been in there the whole time but he definately was in there. I'm curious now to find a stat. I'm going to look.
I have a hunch that the quicker we get rid of that dreaded 3 guard rotation, the better off all of us would be. It is nothing more than a fraud. There just is no beef, there!
It appears Moochie came in for Cato at 2:55. Before that Cato played the rest of the 4th quarter. This is from ESPN Play-byPlay: 10:58 Cato Dunk 9:54 Cato Dunk 7:52 Cato rebound 4:26 Cato pass to moochie 3:19 Cato rebound 2:55 Moochie for Cato So Cato did in fact play most of the 4th quarter. I was watching the game. Which game were you guys watching?
4:26 Cato pass to moochie 3:19 Cato rebound 2:55 Moochie for Cato You might want to check that PBP... Cato passed to Moochie 1:30 before he came in? Cato was taken out and in multiple times during the 4th Quarter, when we ran the lineup of 3 Guards, Thomas, and Griffin. Not surprisingly, on at least one of those possessions in the 3-minutes range, Moochie threw the ball away. Cato shouldn't have been subbed AT ALL in the 4th Q, certainly not the final 5 minutes, not when they were getting offensive rebounds like crazy when he wasn't in there.
Did anyone else notice Maloskey call Cato "Kelvin Cato" instead of "Calvin Cato"? I wonder if the Calvin thing was like an inside joke that Lisa would keep saying until he actually started kicking ass. Anyway, he's now Kelvin Cato, and he kicks much ass. MVP MVP MVP!
Hate to say it, but I told you so. I just hope he keeps it up. Imagine what we'll do next year with our current fowards improvement and The Catomic Bomb being dropped on a regular basis. Watch out Shaq!
His most impressive stat since his resurgence back on Jan 12 is that he has not had more than 3 personal fouls in any game while still getting lots of block shots. No more falling for headfakes.
That's where I got my info and I don't see where Cato passed to Moochie at 1:30. I double checked. Although I thought I remember Cato being in there but I can't find that anywhere. But the point was, Cato wasn't sitting the entire 4th Q like others portrayed. Cato came out at the very end, I beleive, because Bradley fouled out. Without him in the lineup, we can attack the basket more w/ 3 guards. Cato = 0 offense (besides lobs). Griff was contributing nothing offensively. Kenny wasn't doing much either but is generally more consistant. Other than that, we have no front court which is probably why Rudy went w/ a 3 guard lineup to force Dallas to match up w/ us. Based on our comeback, the strategy worked. I'm not sure what folks are complaining about. 3-guard is what got us back in the game. Cato played when match-ups suited us. I'll agree the offensive rebounds are killing us at the end of games, however. But thats a lack of boxing out...period. Everybody should box out, including Moochie. Cato isn't the only one capable of it.
