This is like the opposite of me.

I've bought most of my clothes from Saver's for the last 10 years and almost always prioritize functionality (comfort) over form. I like to keep myself well-groomed, but to me, this is going overboard with the metrosexuality.

But then again, I don't have a white collar job nor have I been out chasing chicks during that time frame - so what do I know?

Pocket squares seem superfluous. The advice to get a hair cut like Mad Men with no elaboration seems to invalidate the article.

Don't be too paranoid to check out e-Bay or just look for online retailers; you'd be surprised at how much you can save on decent looking clothes. But yeah, I've worked in professional jobs, but all in the energy industry, people: MBAs, VPs/senior managers, wear blue jeans and sometimes don't even tuck in their shirts. And they love that damn dri-fit.

I pretty much disagree with almost everything on there. And the sock thing. Yeah my wife said she wouldn't ever marry anyone wearing that s**t!

The two I absolutely believe in. The socks are gay and who gives a **** about damn shorts. It's ****ing hot, if I could, I'd bare my hangers during sunlight to give 'em a deece tan. Plus, they're quite impressive.

if you somebody to tell you how to dress, you are not a grown man. Wear what you feel is comfortable to you, not what somebody else tells you. So many silly rules with fashion. We are men, we don't have time for that. Most of that is common sense. We know what to wear for the right occasion. Most dudes wont show up to a wedding in basketball shorts & sandals.

My uncle's a fashion designer and taught me to roll it that way.

Probably someone who doesn't want them flappin' around two seconds later, with unbuttoned sleeves looking like a laid-off car salesman.

He's right. Short hair is in.
Clean cut is also highly in fashion right now opposed to the messy look; although, messy is easier to keep up with.

Fashion is highly subjective though. To each his own. Functionality and style clash frequently and fashion should be a reflection of what you are not what you want to be.
Its why I highly dislike reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice ; its conform or be chastised and talked down to by everyone.

Buzzfeed is just adding onto the douchebaggery by attempting to be condescending. I like to get tips, I don't like them being so holier-than-thou.

I do, though it's the first way I learned how to. Didn't know there's a "wrong" way to roll up sleeves.

These lists are link bait and are usually garbage.

I guarantee you most of it is sourced from reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice
I've seen almost all of these tips first hand from that page.
So its accurate if you want to dress solely like that.
