"I don't like Salt Lake, I don't like what it stands for, I don't like the people."

What the hell does that mean. As someone who lives up here I thought that was a pretty asinine attempt to be 'tough'.

Thanks for the post. A lot of players just talk the talk, but you can tell that Ron ACTUALLY BELIEVES that the Rox and the Lakers are the two best teams in the West. You gotta appreciate the guy's confidence in this squad. And when's the last time you heard a player personally apologize for losing a game in an interview? I love this f***ing guy.

I think he was just trying to scratch Ron's belly with that. But yeah, it was a little over the top.

to be honest, I was just talking stupid. dumb comment. just having fun with Ron... and we have been battling with a Utah radio station all week. We've had some fun at each others expense. Just playing around.

I would assume he's referring to the predominantly mormon culture. as someone who has been around it, I can see where ron's coming from.

Napalm, have you been personally exposed to the awfulness of Jazz fans at home games that Bull always talks about?

There's a rule in sports "Never give your opponent any ammunition to use against you". RonRon talking trash about the Jazz not going to beat them in a 7 game series, Houston and LA are the 2 best teams in the west and the Rox are a lock to get out of the first round. I'd call that pretty brash, hope Ron puts it together and walks the walk in the playoffs. Nice interview Puff.

I take it then that you were of the opinion that we lost the Lakers game because of Ron's behavior? If that's the case, I just have to disagree. I believe it's on another thread, but DWill has pretty much said the same thing about facing us in the first round . .

actually, it was Puff and not Ron that made the comment. Ron was actually like ...uh... didn't really get involved with the Utah bashing.

Some odd reason . . . this year. . . I think Ron and Battier will be BETTER in the playoffs.

    Ron will be more controlled
    and
Bats will play out of his mind [I'm thinking 10 pts a game]

Ron actually plays pretty controlled in the playoffs. If it wasn't for Ron's broken hand(he still played), the pacers would have beaten the Pistons during their championship season.
