Keep it rollin Coogs 11am Saturday CBSC (Ch. 106 Comcast Houston) Coogs favored by 4.5 opening line was 6. Over/Under 64 Coogs 43 UCF 34 Keenum needs 2,018 yds to set NCAA record most passing yds in a season (Symons) Keenum needs 1,870 yds to be all time leader in passing yds at UofH (Kolb)
Of what? We came this far so no worries. Will be close in the first half and Keenum will show why he is the best qb in the country in the second half.
This has the potential to be dangerous...We have no D and UCF is in need of a win...Coogs win, but I think it's close... Coogs: 38 UCF: 35
With our defense you can't help but be nervous. UCF's strength is their defense, they're ranked #1 in CUSA I believe but the last time we faced a #1 CUSA defense, (So. Miss) the Coogs put up 750 yards & 50 points. The Coogs will score on anyone...that means you too UT! We had a let down after the emotional win vs. TT (and against a team the UT had had just spanked), hope history doesn't repeat. Biased prediction: Coogs 56 UCF 38 BTW, those of you with DirecTV, it's channel 613.
It would suck mega hardcore to get to our last legit opponent and go down in flames when we've got what looks like two JV teams in Memphis and Rice to warm up on in preparing for the championship game.
How'd you like the look on Graham's face after last week? Man, that was something we could both drink to.
Accuscore on espn.com has Houston 69% and UCF 30%. (Cougar math, I guess). I like the Cougars to take care of business. Escaping last week might be the wakeup call that they needed to start taking care of business in the first half and putting teams away in the third quarter. Houston 48 UCF 31
Throw out Miami and Texas on the negative side and a depleted Rice squad on the positive and UCF appears to be good for 2 to 3 touchdowns. Even assuming our defense is a touchdown worse than that and that their D (the strength of their team) is on a par with Miss St, we should still win a squeaker. After UTEP and Tulsa the Cougars have no reason to look past anybody, we just need to finish strong. Beat a major conference also ran (Georgia..or whoever) in the Liberty Bowl, get Keenum to NYC and come back with lots of momentum next year and try to replicate what the Frogs are doing this year.
Any idea what their non-conference schedule looks like next year? Do they still get OkieState and Tech? If so, they definitely have the opportunity to be next year's TCU. But with that CUSA schedule, they need a solid OOC.
Nice - that's probably a perfect OOC for them. Beatable teams across the board, but good enough that they aren't scrubs. And 3 of them are from the 3 "best" conferences, so that will help in the computers. Not sure what Boise, Utah or TCU's non-conference schedules look like, but it should certainly put them in the hunt if they can go undefeated.
UH won 2 of 3 against Ok St. in their series and may go 2-0 against Texas Tech. It may be a long time before a Big 12 south team agrees to play UH again.
