http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/05/12/as-many-as-12-shot-in-new-orleans-mother-day-parade/ Twelve people are being treated for gunshot wounds following a shootout at a second line parade on Mother’s Day in New Orleans. The youngest victim in the surprise attack was 10 years old, according to a local resident. Over 100 people were participating in the residential festival, on Frenchmen Street, in the north of the city, when several shots were fired. The incident occurred around 2pm local time on Sunday. Police believe three suspects were responsible for the gunfire. “The shots just started ringing out, and everybody just started running, and the next thing I heard, 10-15 people got shot,” one witness told local station WDSU. Police confirmed the number of casualties stood at 12 following some discrepancies in initial hospital reports, suggesting that between five and 11 may have been injured. No fatalities have been confirmed, but three are reportedly in a critical condition. A week ago, police were also called out to investigate a triple shooting near the corner of Frenchman street.

Something tells me that they're not going to have quite as adamant manhunt in New Orleans as they had in Boston...
Too many damn parades. You keep congregating in narrow-ass big city streets every other weekend with tourists and complete strangers; in a city with no apparent public drunkenness laws, people get shot, raped, robbed or at least beaten the hell out of.
Third shooting at this particular corner in the past month. For some reason I don't think we will blame this on terrorism... Unless we are considering Crips and Bloods terrorists now.
Yeah! Let's all stay inside and watch TV where it's safer. Doing anything socialable is just too damn dangerous these days. Trying to have fun is just not worth the risk!
