Recently, I found out that one of my band's songs was played on KLOL as a 4:20 song. I understand that they play a pot song everyday at 4:20, but I don't really understand the significance of 4:20. Because I don't live in Houston, I have never heard a 4:20 song. Also, do they play a different song everytime, or is it in a basic rotation. In other words, if they play our song once, are they going to play it again, or is it just a one time deal? It's really cool to have one of our songs play on a major station and many of our fans are pretty pumped about it too. Thanks for any help.
I'm not sure what you are asking, but 420 is the number that cops use to describe marihuana(Reefer Madness spelling) misdimeaners.
explanation for ya don... On KLOL FM 101.1 ,every day at 4:20 Outlaw Dave plays a song or two that directly(or even indirectly) reference getting high. He calls it "The 420 Break"... I have always been curious to where I could get some of those songs cause some of em are downright funny as hell. Which one is yours firecat?
The name of our band is the Fire Ants and the song that they play is Two Foot Tall. Our guitar player wrote it about 20 years ago and it is a pretty funny song. It's about 'gardening'. If you are interested, it can be downloaded at www.fireantsband.com/cd-info.html It's a fun song and always popular, especially with our more rural crowds. Thanks for the info about 420, Don, being code for mar1juana. I don't smoke and I'm not in law enforcement, so I had no idea.
Actually, 420 is not the ploice code for mar1juana. Not very computer savvy, but an explanation can be found on www.snopes.com
