Wow... Don't know if it's just me, but a high post count just doesn't seem that impressive. It just means you talk a lot. Just a generalization, but a member's join date holds more weight with me. I'm more inclined to respect someone who's been here since 1999 with 500 posts than someone who registered in 2004 with 5000.
Or even better, someone who has been a member for a while, has a decent post count AND actually makes interesting posts! Congratulations to whoever made this thread. Concierge have ordered a taxi for you.

I wouldnt call 2002 a early date. if it werent for the move the board took in 99, some ppl on here would have even earlier dates than they do.alot of the 99ers would be more like 97ers. post counts dont mean jack..they mean you like to talk alot. you make good posts, you get respect...I respect some longtimers that only post when they have a good post to make and therefore still have very low numbers, but I also have respect for some newer members that have only been here for a year or so...cause their takes on ball are lucid and insightful and based on facts and keen observation of the games. obviously, that isnt my catagory. if it wasnt for videos and computers...I would have like 100 posts. btw...I just wasted this decent post on a thread that is soon to be either moved or locked.
You call 2002 an early date? I still consider myself a newbie. Regardless, my point is that post counts don't mean anything. You posted 1500 times in 7 months. I'll go out on a limb and say that you just talk a lot. If you honestly think post count carries any weight around here, you're clearly mistaken (and by "you" I'm addressing the general public, not you specifically MartianMan ).
