Yeah, I'm taking advantage of not being married with children and having an awesome job with an awesome boss.

We only went for the last two games, and I'll probably do the same this year. It'll be gut wrenching to watch the first two games though...assuming we make it back.

I'm guessing Rice will charge anywhere from $40-$50. It's Rice's biggest game of the year (excluding the Bayou Bucket) and Rice signed a 2 for 1 so some gouging will be expected. Speaking of jacking up the prices, how about UT's ticket price increase? Since I won't be a student anymore I can b**** about the ticket prices.

Smokey, Are you planning to stay in Austin a while? You can do what a bunch of us did and pay a non football fan student to get the tix for you. It worked for a while.

No, I probably won't even be in state. I'm thinking about ordering the video season ticket on DVD. It's $300 though  I'll most likely join the Texas Exes local chapter and go to their viewing parties. Last year every game was on TV.

Those video packages are higher than giraffe pu$$y, but I guess you have to do what it takes. We were looking at the cost of tickets this year. Luckily my brother has a home there in Bee Caves so the lodging expense is not there, but it still ends up being $250 or so per weekend.

Where are you off to? What were you studying?

Price comes out to $25 per game. A little over $23 if the Longhorns play in the Big 12 Championship game. I could always resell the DVD's on Ebay or here if anyone is interested.

I'm finishing a degree in Government and am headed off to law school. Just don't know where yet, but most likely won't be in Texas.

That is true and you would likely recoup all you spent on the package. As long as we have been waiting for something good to happen, you could get back triple what you paid for it.

Congrats and good luck, and don't forget us little people down here in Texas. Are you originally from here?
