Unless the Spurs turn things around ASAP, they are going to have a hard time making the Playoffs this season. Considering that the Rockets & Kings and possibly the Clippers & Warriors should all be improved in the 2010 - 2011 Season, things might become rough in San Antonio next season with their core group aging rather fast.
It's all about this season for the Spurs and it doesn't look good. First of all, they need to get healthy and stay healthy. Next season, I take it for granted they will be a middle-of-the-pack team at best. Manu is no longer Manu and looks like he may not be there.
celts/lakers game is quite physical so far.....lol at KG falling on the floor after bumping into Artest
Hahaha did anyone hear JVG on Kobe carrying? "Because Kobe is banged up we are not gonna call the carry, just because he is hurting" Wow all the other commentators were kind of quiet, like we aren't suppose to say that we could get fired!
Celtics look bad early. Talk about aging and the Spurs, Celtics almost in the same boat. KG been injured, same for Pierce. Also have a decision to make on Allen at the end of the year(or at the td if they want to trade him?)
Haha. KG tries his usual sh-t talking routine with Andrew Bynum and Bynum just goes down the floor and puts him through the rim. Nice.
When the Rockets beat the Spurs in San Antonio recently, Duncan was the only San Antonio player that was notably superior than anybody the Rockets had on the floor. Considering the amount of salary & veteran experience that the Spurs were utilizing that night compared to the Rockets, it was an eyeopener. With a remaining schedule of 12 home games and 24 road games, the Spurs are in an extremely tough spot. Their current record is 27 -19. If they go 8 - 4 on the remaining home games, they would need to go 13 - 11 on the remaining road games to finish with 48 wins which still might not be enough to make the Playoffs this season. Expecting 9 -3 on the home games and 14 - 10 on the road games to get 50 wins is going to be quite a reach considering the recent play of the Spurs.
Van Gundy just gave Matt Schaub and the Houston Texans some love, called Matt a top 6 quarterback in the NFL, a "hidden gem". Gundy's a homer.
