Alston: C+ (still can't shoot, but only true NBA-tested PG on team) Battier: C (defense is looking overrated, offense non-existent) Francis D+ (he came on strong in PHO, but than has been MIA, looked really really old the last few times he got any minutes) Hayes: B- (defense and boards are great, but still misses gimme lay-ins and can't catch passes on the interior, and jesus the free throws!) Head: C+ (remains the worst decison-maker on the team, but as long as he isn't dribbling or passing, his shot is extremely valuable) James: D+ (started off looking like a steal the first two games, and then has played like crap ever since. If he doesn't score, he doesn't help us in any other facet of the game) McGrady: B (started off the best we've seen since Orlando and return of some explosiveness was a nice surprise, but has really tailed off due to never-ending injuries, also not enough passion and too many stock-quotes) Scola: C+ (too inconsistent, and way too foul-prone at this point, offense has been great at times, and garbage at other times) Wells: C (started off HORRIBLE, but has come on late, he has the capability to be our missing 3rd scorer, but will he?) Yao: B (I expected Yao to go out and dominate this year--he hasn't, other than our poor record, this has disappointed me the most this year) Brooks, Landry, Novak: I (but we'll soon see with Brooks) Adelman: C- (He's a veteran coach, coaching veterans, so why has it taken so long for a good group of guys to buy into the system???) Morey: B+ (I give him a B+ because there was no way to know that the pieces he picked up would be THIS crappy so far, and there wasn't exactly a plethora of quality talent available that we could afford)

(too limited playing time, but probably about a b so far) scola c (wildly inconsistent, his D is poor, Adelman needs to give him regular minutes to see where he is at as a player) snyder, deke, novak inc. landry b (though his minutes are limited, he seems to do well whenever he's in the game) adelman & adelman's assistants b- (get major points for beating teams like Phoenix and Utah on the road, lose big points for getting beat by bad teams, benefit of the doubt with new coach and system so go with b-) morey a (he assembled the talent, if they improved their cold shooting then they might have a much better record) les alexander b (we need to increase our attendance, can he help with this or is it a Houston thing?)
Just a few: Francis- F Morey- C his moves were overhyped and ultimately underwhelming Adelman- Incomplete. Sounds like he really hasnt gotten the players to buy in.
rafer b- (only real pg on team but missing shots and a little worse on defense than last year) tmac b- (early in the season great. after the elbow injury almost every game handicapped. should put more effort in the defense.) battier c+ (his shot was off early on. doesn't really fit into adelman's style.) hayes b- (good defense and solid rebounding. but nothing else. in an ideal world he would get 20 mpg off the bench.) yao c (this one's mainly on adelman. yao's trying but he can't dominate this way.) bonzi c- (horrendous on defense. should finish better. at least in shape and pretty healthy.) james d (no comment. an absolute failure.) franchise c- (pretty solid when he got few minutes. pretty helpless when he started.) head c (turnover waiting to happen. total mismatch on defense. can shoot the rock, though.) brooks b (great game speed changer. but should be the 3rd pg on this team.) scola c (often totally out of control defensively. should be better by now. a lot of the blame should go to adelman, though. scola should be used better in the offense.) deke d (as i said before the season, sadly, he shouldn't be on this roster. great guy, though.) snyder d (he just has no clue.) landry c (pretty helpless defensively. showed some athletic ability and some hustle.) novak - (should get some minutes now or he'll be out of the league soon.) adelman c (my worst fears became true.) adelman's assistants - (adelman leads the show and should get the blame.) morey b+ (great offseason turning nothing into something. sadly his moves didn't pan out like we all would have hoped.) les c- (did spend some money in the offseason. should have kept jvg, though.)
