I don't think Kidd would do too great on the Rockets. Even though he is aging, he still needs a running team to be at his best. I don't see any way the Nets can get both Allen and KG.
Yeah, we don't have enough big names we're willing to trade. We're winning and doing pretty good, so our core of Yao and McGrady is here to stay. I think the Nets and Supersonics are a little desparate. Despite their star players, they aren't doing that great. That's why they're thinking of doing this to shake things up.
Vince is planning on jumping ship (player option upcoming) or forcing a S&T this summer or next. That's why they're looking to move him - that, and Kidd has soured on him some this year for too much personal offense and not enough focus on defense or team play. I guess they figure no would be the time to get out of Kidd's insane contract ($20 mill, $21 mill the next two years after this one) as well. I'm not sure I'd be going after Ray Allen and his long-term deal given his age. Krstic, Marcus Williams, and Vince might be a fair deal for KG if they included a #1. well, you're insane then. jason kidd fits on any team in the nba. that said, we have no chance of getting him and the nets wouldn't have said they are looking to trade carter and kidd for garnett and allen anyway. most ridiculous rumor i've heard in a while
kidd is good but would totally destroy any hope of cap space for the rockets for the next like 3 years. On the other hand if u wanna win now...
What cap space. The Rockets have no cap space now and will hve none anytime in the next 6 years or so. No luxury tax is a different issue.
I wouldn't go after Vince just yet. When he becomes a free agent after this season (if I am not mistaken), he will join his 'cousin' in Houston for the MLE.

I'm a Kidd fan, but if he's not a focal point of your offense, he's useless. Although it would be neat to see us on the fastbreak with T-Mac and Kidd down court.
Not possible. Honestly Carter is a good player for the allstar game, never trade for him cause it wont bring you a championship.
