Well, after all the histrionics from last night, at the end of the day, the Rockets accomplished what they set out to do, steal home court. They did that, and put some doubt in the Lakers minds, the Rockets can beat this team, they know it, and more importantly, the Lakers know it. This is going to be a knock down drag out, the Rockets protect home court and it is over.... Overall, I am happy with the 1-1 split. How about you? DD
I'm happy that Kobe resorted to being the punk b**** wannabe MJ that he has always been. The league may have forgotten what a scumbag he is, but we haven't.
Happy, got my hopes up thinking they could sweep them though... maybe that's a good sign though. We have a real good shot at protecting home court.
Very happy. Grabbing one game was all that I realistically hoped for. Getting into the Lakers heads to the point where they can't stop talking to the Rockets and can't stop trying to elbow them is a bonus. 2-0 would be great but 1-1 with the Lakers wondering where this buzz saw called the Rockets came from is pretty damn good.
yea im happy wit it ofcourse..who on here wouldnt be? i just hope some 1 can land one solid punch to kobes face before this series is over..
I agree DD...coming home with a 1-1 is all I was hoping for (and 1 more than I was "expecting") to open up the series.
I was hoping for a sweep, but I'll take 4 -1. I'm happy with what happened. I'm happy that Kobe is getting exposed as playing dirty. I'm very impressed with Ron Artest. He stayed true to himself, and played tough, both mentally and physically(despite what you may have read in some threads...)
I am happy with the split but greedy that I wanted two and the rockets could have gotten two if they had not turned the ball over so much
I am good and they didn't get blown out like many idiots on here thought they would for game 1 and game 2
Yep, I wasn't worried about game 2 whatsoever. It's nice watching games and not really being upset that you lost. Yes, a win would've made me overjoyed, jumping around my apartment, but it's definitely not the end of the world that we lost. We can just win both games at home, be up 3-1, then win 1 of the next 3. That's the advantage of home court. With games like yesterday, all I hope is that there's no injuries or suspensions for the Rockets. We got a few scares for both, but I think we'll have our full squad there on Friday. In addition, we might see fewer Lakers at the same time. I'll be refreshing NBA.com hourly looking for announcements from Stu Jackson, for sure.
Im ecstatic with the 1-1 split and very proud of how they showed up for game 2 and didn't lie down. I think the rockets can play better.
I am satisfied with getting one but now the question is we have to protect home court. There's NO WAY they will shoot 80%+ again this series. I feel that we got their best shot in last night's first quarter and we haven't even shown our best yet.
I'm thrilled with the 1-1, and I can't wait for Game 3. I'm so pumped. Today and tomorrow are going to seriously drag. I'm going to stop by the store after work and stock up on snacks.
I'm happy we won game one and stood up hard until the fakers started faking toughness till our guys said screw it.
Who wouldn't be happy with the result so far? We took a game from the West's best team on their own floor, and made everyone in America watch the Lakers play dirty. Win AND send a message all in two games? Big Mo' do the Rockets ride back to H-town.
You should have known better. This, by no means, was going to be an easy series. Expecting a sweep is pretty silly. 1-1 leaving LA is great. We put doubts in their minds that we can beat them. We've been in both games, despite or lack of execution down the stretch (game 2). We're tough, physical, and are not backing down from anyone. Going to be a hell of a game 3.
Satisfied with 1-1 but game 2 should've been ours. More than anything though, these have both been GREAT games. This series is such a blast to watch. I love the drama, the intensity, and just the fact that we're actually doing a lot better than the Utah Jazz. Oh yeah, and my boy Ron Artest is a REAL home boy. <3
That's what we hoped to accomplish, so yes, I'm pleased. I'd be more pleased if game 2 hadn't been an absurd blight on the game I love, but I'm pleased.
