probably only half of the people remember 05 tmac besides his 13 point 35 second game(was that even 05?)...did we even make the playoffs that year? kobe.
Season '04-'05 was his best Rockets season, no doubt about that. But Kobe stays Kobe, so better than T-Mac. Maybe except during his Orlando days ...
Close, but at that time for me, T-mac. Think of it this way, T-mac AT THE TIME, was longer than Kobe, just as athletic, coming off five seasons with insane numbers, similar to Kobe's, but is also younger. You'd think that at 25, he'd have more room to further improve an already complete arsenal. Nobody knew his body would go downhill like that. I remember this one analyst or coach who even said after that season that "I think that T-mac's better than Kobe." and a bunch of guys also agreed with him. Back then, T-mac's heart wasn't suspect yet though. Now, a T-mac-Kobe comparison is a joke.
seriously? the team is winning and we're talking about dumb comparisons? let's talk about 08-09 von wafer v. 06-07 luther head
tmac was a monster back then but he was even better around 2002-2003 i say tmac back then but right now its not even close
ill go with 08-09 von wafer over 08-09 tmac. i dont see 05 tmac some how finding 1.21 gigawatts and finding his way to the present.
people claim i grasp on the glory days too much, for tmac, this is just pure desperation to compare him to kobe. at least when you compare hall of famers, champions, mvps, like the dream vs etc, you have some substance to compare. tmac has accomplished nothing but scoring titles and first round exits. kobe vs mj, legit comparison kobe vs tmac, comparison ONLY MADE BY TMAC FANS, not ROCKETS FANS, repeat not ROCKETS FANS cause you know if we ROCKET FANS could play God and swap Tmac - ANY TIME PERIOD WITH THE ROCKETS for KOBE, we'd do that 1 million out of 1 million times There would never be an instance where a Rockets fan would not trade Tmac for Kobe at any time period. EVER. EVER. EVER.
whats on the line? Regular season game against the Spurs.....Tmac Game winning shot to win the finals......Kobe
I don't care about remembering anything T-Mac did unless he gets us to the promised land. Until he is able to you can never compare him to any of the great ones. For instance the McGrady vs Drexler comparison, it makes no sense either.
ironic that you chose an image of the one man who 'may have' drastically hindered Tmac's chances of a title that year. just sayin.
