Washington Wizards @ San Antonio Spurs Denver Nuggets @ Utah Jazz Well.. right now it's like this The Rockets are in the 5th seed but have 23 losses.. Portland has 23 losses also along with the Jazz.. Denver and New Orleans have 22 losses.. If Utah wins tonight against the Jazz then Denver will have 23.. That leaves New Orleans... This is their next 5 games.. (fairly easy) Next Five Games Sat, Mar 7 Oklahoma City 8:00 pm Mon, Mar 9 at Atlanta 7:00 pm Wed, Mar 11 at Washington 7:00 pm Fri, Mar 13 at Milwaukee 8:30 pm Sat, Mar 14 at Chicago 8:30 pm The only one I think they can slip is against Atlanta (but you never know, maybe one of the scrub teams will beat em) I don't really mind who wins between Utah and Denver, but I'd prefer it to be Utah (I can't believe I just said that).

for some reason...i see new orleans moving to 2# behind the lakers again...ginobli being hurt and new orleans being on a win streak with a easy schedule will help new orleans out tremendously i think
I hope Denver wins, for two reasons. First, in the back of my mind, I'm still saying "pfttt...it's Denver. They go on a couple losing streaks at some point to end the season anyway." That may be bad logic, but I'll keep believing it until the regular season is over and they've really proved they are a top 3 Western Seed. Second, I hate the Jazz with a passion that almost transcends my love of the Rockets. As such, short of a scenario whereby it's the last game of the season and we needed the Jazz to beat some team so we could get homecourt advantage or make the playoffs or something, I always root for the Jazz to lose. Don't overlook the Hornets schedule after the next five games. It gets increasingly more difficult, especially the last few weeks of the season. In April they play 6 of 9 on the road, two home/away type back to backs, and Dallas twice, and Houston, San Antonio, Phoenix, Utah and Miami. In fact those are their last seven games. They start out the month against the Clippers and the Warriors, though both are on the road. I think the Hornets will need to be somewhere in the 2nd-3rd seed going into April to try and get home court advantage first round.
man the way chris paul playing, i wouldnt be surprised if they beat everyone u named.. dude cant be stopped...he would make big bird look good
I am not impressed by New Orleans at all, they look fairly easy to guard to me....they remind me of the 2005 Rockets where you have a couple of good players and no one else. DD
Jazz are going to win tonight easily.. Nuggets are playing under a back to back as well. Jazz are on a hot streak. Deron Williams is looking like the best point guard in the NBA. Nuggets are going to lose, There's no doubt in my mind. As for the Hornets, They are not contenders. Chris Paul is the best point guard in the NBA, but as DaDakota just said. They just have a couple of good players and nothing more. We also had that in 2005 and in 2007. Both of them turned into 1st round exits. Expect the same for the Hornets.
Without checking the schedule, I predict: 1 Obviously the Lakers finish #1 2 The Jazz and Spurs will battle it out for the #2 seed 3 The Hornets, Rockets and Nuggets will slug it out between seeds #4-6 4 The Mavs and Blazers will bring up the rear and fight to see who can avoid being automatic roadkill against the Lakers
they actually have a pg with playoff experience running their team that so happens to be the best pg in the league and top 4 player in the league.. aaron brooks and kyle lowery is unproven..so i have no other choice but to look at them as the only team that has a reality of a chance to beat the lakers in the west..
