Good. After reading the article Harden needs to learn to deal with him and not push him away.

He can be dealt. It’s just that dealing him probably won’t make the team better. We could get Gordon Hayward for him straight up.

Not enough depth to compete with new Lakers, bucks, 76ers, raptors.

Not enough depth compared to the Lakers who have three starters?

(Btw, I know they'll sign another star and a quality player with mle, but your comment was about depth)

Lakers keep rondo, Bullock, same benches last year, they can use 32.5 million cap room to sign 3 shooters too.

Honestly, I'd do that if possible. Hayward seemed to pick it up towards the end of the season and I have more faith that he'll return to form with him being in his 20's than I do that we will ever see star level CP3 again.

Conspiracy theory - Maybe all this random negative media chatter about the rockets is due to what Morey mentioned regarding this 3rd star ..... other teams know about it and have been fueling this to persuade this 3rd star through the media...

    Hmm ....

Hopefully "Chris Paul won't be dealt" is the 2019 version of "We'll have our pick of free agents."

I doubt they are able to sign 3 playoff playable shooters. They will still be top heavy with one or two quality bench players. Not exactly deep.

I do think they elevate to a top 4 seed in the west after filling out their roster, but it won't be because of any depth.

Even if he was trying to trade him do y'all really think he's going to come out and say it, there's enough friction in the locker room as it is

why wouldn't they be able to? lebron, AD, and a likely additional impact player or two isn't a bad core at all for guys to come play with

    Morey knows it won't.

For better or worse, Chris is who we have cast our lot with for the rest of Harden's prime.

There is no plan B. We have to make it work.

That contract is to high he can not deal CP3 and he does not want to be traded

Yeah, I'm not saying they won't add on a nice player or two, but it's hard finding playoff caliber players for the vet min.

I would assume a Kemba/Kyrie type play takes the rest of their cap, then they sign an excellent player who takes a discount at the MLE, then bring back a few guys and add a few vet min guys.

    That's a solid team and a contender.

    Kemba/LeBron/AD/Kuzma/MLE guy
    Rondo/Jamal Crawford/Bullock/Ariza/McGee (non bird rights?)

Yeah, I'm probably wrong because as I type that out I think to myself that's a top heavy and deep team.

Y'all are probably right. They'll be a good amount of players taking a discount to play with that squad.

what we can hope for is that the guys who are going there are head cases themselves.
