Wake up. Get coffee cup out of cabinet. Pour coffee. Drink coffee. Smash coffee cup on side of head.

I am still pissed about loosing a game I think we should have won. A game in which most of the players put forth a superior effort and played with tons of heart. Some of you can say ‘oh well it’s the Spurs, we were not suppose to win’. I say it has been 12 losses in a row and I am tired of loosing to these guys. We are three games under 500 and we should not be.

But on the morning after instead of concentrating on negatives I want to try and find something positive out of this loss.

First, while I think Rudy T’s wacky rotations hurt our chances of winning the game last night I do not condone nor do I think firing Rudy would be in the best interest of the Rockets. I still think Rudy is an excellent coach and does a lot more for this team than most other coaches. And let’s not forget who coached us to our only two championships.

I loved the way the team played during the first half of the game. It was up and down fast pace in your face basketball. They did not waited for San Antonio to dictate the pace of the game. Aggressive on offense and aggressive on defense.

Steve and Cat were great! Steve started out kind of slow but then really picked it up in the second half. Cat was awesome! Not only was his shot falling but also his decision making was great. I can’t recall yelling ‘No Cat No!’ even once. The intensity and fire made them look like the best backcourt in the game.

The team as a whole played with all the energy and emotion that we were accustom to seeing prior to the Miami game. Lets hope it stays and can be translated to home games some times in the near future.

While I try to convince myself that it was only one loss I would like to hear someone else’s views on what positives came out of this game and do any of the positives translate to a realistic shot at the playoffs?

Is this the same guy who was calling Rudy T a moron last night? The turnaround in your attitude is a big positive from the game, heypartner would be proud. Sadly, I don't think the current 13 man roster we have is going to take us to the playoffs. We just don't have enough interior defense. We also need a 3rd scorer that Cat and Francis trust, they obviously don't trust Taylor enough to keep feeding him the ball, even when he is scoring double digits in the first quarter.
