We are not going to pick up this guy, he and his brother have trouble getting along, and Morey won't be disrupting what he has building here for a guy who is not appreciably better than what he has and fits in.

    End of story.

If he gets waived and clears waivers ala Smith, might be a different story.

Still don't know if he would make it past Portland on the waiver wire.

The fine should have been way bigger. You are a professional who is paid millions. Shut up and do your job.

I am in agreement with this. I could see Morey picking him up ala Josh Smith if he gets a buyout, in the event of D-Mo being unfit to play.

This situation is nothing like Josh's in Detriot. Josh wasn't a cancer, but he was massively overpaid. Markieff is a cancer (to them), but his deal is very reasonable.

You're based out of Phoenix; what do you believe?

You think another team would risk separating him from his brother?

I'd bet on the one who can legally not pay (or suspend) the other party if they do not comply.

    ............

They could still trade him if they want to, but it would be simply out of convenience or not wanting to exert minimal effort. But make no mistake.... the Suns hold the cards here. Only leverage players typically have to force trades are if they are enough of a star to where them leaving later in free agency hurts the team long-term.

They could also work out a buyout. Again... if it makes sense for the Suns.

But make no mistake... even if MM gets traded or gets bought out...he in no way "won" even if he thinks he did. MM has lost already.... majorly.

If he's waived, won't he just sign with the Pistons so he can play with his soulmate? Don't see why he'd come to Houston for the minimum when he can go to Detroit for the minimum.

Well he did say he didn't have to play with his brother and wants to win I thought.
