Go to a dealership where they sell the stripped down bare bones "fleet" type vans and trucks that they buy to mod into a news truck. You'll basically see white trucks and vans to the horizon. Painting them another color adds a significant expense. You've got to be really motivated to want another color, or you'll just leave it white and ado a few relatively cheap graphics to 5he side of a van. They aren't buying tricked out 70's "Good Times" vans with bright orange air brushed graphics of Aztec warriors in hand-to-hand combat with a bald eagle to convert into news trucks. They are buying cheap ass plain white industrial vans, available in factory white, or factory white.
It's a relative scale. The only group that got a crappier deal than African-Americans is Native Americans, so if your other option is "in the red"...
But that is only because paper is white and ink is black. Why is there no black paper and white ink? Have you considered that?
