Nova thinking to himself "It's just the Astros. I can bowl the rest of the game and end up with 8 Ks"
I get to watch this game on the MLB channel. It's great hearing the announcers including Bob Costas, who I love and respect his baseball knowledge along with the top of the field make excuses for Sabathia.
From what I've seen his glove is pretty comparable. He doesn't seem to make plays coming in as fluidly as Valbuena, and his arm makes the throw on plays to his right difficult. They employ the shift so much though that he's practically playing SS a bunch of the time anyway.
That would be huge, and he's too good to not get hot soon. Good Gomez + Healthy Springer + Rasmus/Marisnick/Tucker is a heck of an OF.
I think Valbuena can handle the hot shots better and has the better arm which leads to the question, why can't Jed play first?
Yeah, we talked about that here when Lowrie came off the DL. I was hoping that some member of the crackerjack Houston media might ask Luhnow or Hinch about it but I don't remember hearing anything. Yankees broadcasters just said that Eovaldi's fastball yesterday *averaged* just over 99mph. 1st 24 starts it was 97ish. Lol at Beltran jogging his way out of a triple.
