We've had Thai, Chinese, Japanese, but what about Korean?

Friends have recommended Tofu Village and I thought that place was just mediocre. Do you know of a better place?

All I know about Korean restaurants is that they give you a **** ton of small side dishes even before you order.

BBQ Garden on Gessner is pretty good for the Korean BBQ experience.

Myung Dong, Korea House, BBQ Garden, Korea Noodle House, Bonga, Pocha Tree (I think it's called like Tree Garden or something now) are in my regular rotation. Yes, I am Korean.

They got paint and a new sign. Improvements like that really downgrade their hipster adventure status.

Whatever you do, don't go to Dosi, that place is overpriced garbage.

Bonga and Nam Gang. Latter are owned by the same owners of Bonga except it's helluva lot cheaper.

Is there any all you can eat BBQ places here? I had those in Dallas and I miss it!

Besides metallic chopsticks, what is distinctive about Korean dining?

I went to Seoul about 15 years ago and all I can remember about the food was BBQ.

Korea Garden is the top notch when it comes to sides. They literally have the best fish cake and Potato dish side. Great Ambiance too if you want to give someone that Korean feeling :)... Since vising California several times over the years nothing can really compare :(... So expensive over here and the quantity and quality of meat is not what I thought it should be.

Easiest is to go to Hmart on Gessner and buy a bulk of the Short Ribs already seasoned and BBQ yourself.

    Bonga.
    Seoul Garden.

Two of my top picks. No matter where you go you should be ordering the Galbi anyway.
    Yes, I am Korean.

So for a real answer I just went to to what used to be Nam Gang. They are calling it Flower Piggy(?) now but still have the Nam Gang sign up, new owners? Any info Stig? Prices are low, portions size high and service was really great.

Kimchi was not up to how much I like Myung Dong but it might be because Myung Dong has more of the food I am used to/like more. Probably not a quality difference.

The location was in a place where I would be less likely to need the scar 17s in my trunk then I would at Myung Dong. Another bonus my waitress was chinese. So 100% recommend.
