I've read at the ************.com board is that "this picture was taken during half-time break when Yao Ming complained about lack of oxygen in the very hot stadium, and the team doctor was checking him up to see whether he was fit to continue playing." Maybe that's why the trainer was send down to check Yao out?
His face sure is red . I hope they dont kill him over there. Has there ever been a player who has played this much with so much expectations on them this young before?
Yao complained of difficulty breathing and racing heartbeat. The team doctor is examining him to see if he would be able to continue playing. There was tremendous heat in the stadium, due to no air-conditioning and the coach had been playing Yao waaaay more time than he should have. Yao has also been toughing it out these past few weeks playing with an injured left calf, as well.
Maybe they shouldn't play him 35+min. over there, let him have some rest...Weren't those exhibition games anyways? Just think what is he gets an injury over there for some game that means nothing?
This photo was taken at the halftime break of the last warmup game with Tigers. After this break, Yao played the full third Quater and most of fourth quarter. He was substituted by another player when there were 3 minutes left and China NT was up Tigers to 20+ points.
Why on earth play the National Team's greatest asset that many minutes when the game is clearly in the bag? Especially when Yao is having problems with the heat, etc. It doesn't make sense.
