Dare I say that Bags and Biggs are the Stockton and Malone of baseball?

I'm going to duck and hide now.

The Cubs series is proving why Bagwell is underrated. He never does it when the spotlight shines the brightest, therefore no attention.

I'd argue that Biggio is overrated, not underrated, but I don't want Madmax gettin angered at me again, oh heck I can deal with it.

DD, I agree with all your posts.

Bagwell vs. the Cards & Cubs this season (including today):

    90 ABs; .278 BA; 15 R; 2 2B; 5 HR; 9 RBI; 12 BB; 19 Ks

    Terrible, just terrible. Pathetic, really.

    Trade the bum.

No, I think he's underrated, but he's definitly not clutch and that's what gets the pub for the most part. There are exceptions.

What did he do this series Buck?

Totally irrelevent. Judgements based on ~15 ABs are ridiculous. The sample size is waaaaaaaay too small.

Man, that Ted Williams guy was overrated.

I've read it several times & have yet to figure out how you condensed my post into such a brilliant deduction. Please explain.

Your knowledge of baseball is seriously lacking.

I know about Astros' recent playoff history, 97,98,99, 01. Is that a good enough sample size to evaluate Bagwell's post season performance.

I though Bags did pretty well in the 2001 division series. He went 3 for 7 with 5 walks.
And overall, he is such a good defender as he always scoops every ball out of the dirt. How many times did he save bad throws by both biggio and lugo.

As for pgabriel's stance, i'd agree with it if he replaced Bagwell's name with Biggio's.
