HOUSTON ROCKETS RETURN TO THE RGV FOR ROCKET LAUNCH 2015
Rockets to host Orlando Magic Oct. 11 at State Farm Arena

MCALLEN, Texas, August 12, 2015 – The Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the NBA Development League single-affiliate of the Houston Rockets, today announced that the Rockets will return to the RGV for Rocket Launch 2015. Houston will host the Orlando Magic Sunday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. at State Farm Arena. Tickets go on sale Monday, Aug. 24 and will be available at the Vipers Pro Shop in Uptown Plaza or at Ticketmaster.com.

“The Vipers are excited to host our fifth Rocket Launch to kick off the 2015-16 season,” Vipers president Bert Garcia said. “Once again, we look forward to bringing NBA entertainment and the league’s brightest stars to the RGV when the Rockets and Magic hit the hardwood at State Farm Arena.”

The Rockets last visited the Rio Grande Valley on Oct. 19, 2014 when they topped the Golden State Warriors 90-83. This marks the second trip to the Valley for the Orlando Magic who previously participated in Rocket Launch 2010. The Boston Celtics traveled to the RGV for the team’s inaugural Rocket Launch in 2009.

Houston finished the 2014-15 regular season at the top of the Southwest Division with a 56-26 record and recorded a 1-4 record against the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.
