Stream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjnBavJNX6U Wow guys, it's the first damn episode. All first episodes are like this. That Cowboys HK wasn't showing bubble players the first episode. They were showing T.O. tees.
Yeah, the little snippets they gave us of Cushing were pure gold. MOAR. "They even cheer us when we screw up. It's gonna be a good year. He's the only player that can get away with that."
Also, was I the only one that could NOT STOP laughing at Kevin Johnson's dad when they first showed his family. He's got a neck like a giraffe and a goofy looking face. It was like a cartoon. I literally couldn't stop laughing even though I felt bad about it.

If anyone knows that Baytown heffer screaming at JJ Watt for like hours, please drown her. Good freaking lord. Shut the **** up you freaking loon.
Yeah, even though there are annoying nuts all over the country, all I could think of during that sequence was "this is what people will think of Houstonians". As great as it would be to have the adoration that Watt has city-wide, that sort of thing would get REAL old, REAL fast.
Initial impressions. 1) Arian Foster's workout regimen seems really weird and not conducive to requirements of his job 2) Kevin Johnson's sister has it going on 3) Dan Snyder is as much of a slimey little troll as I ever imagined 4) Bob McNair looks pretty rough 5) I second LHF's notion to drown the Baytown heffer 6) We're in good hands with BOB/Romeo 7) Ben Jones is the penultimate redneck 8) Hopkins is going to be a top 5 fantasy WR material this year
I definitely had a chuckle...reminded me of Merton Hanks. But then I mostly focused on his sister. Great episode. I don't know what some people were expecting.
Lol they were saying the same thing on 790 this morning, saying she was probably from Baytown. Poor Baytown.
I haven't watched Hard Knocks in awhile after it became kind of formulaic, and it still is of course but what I noticed was how ridiculous and eye rolling the whole NFL enterprise must look from the inside if you're a player/grown man of modest intelligence (the way Nate Jackson wrote about in "Slow getting up") - you have adults making millions of dollars with families kids etc being screamed at by older paunchier adults and they're supposed to take it serioulsy. Especially for veterans all of the rah-rah stuff has got to be so grating, you could see Vince Wilfork's eyes rolling back in his head during meetings and even JJ Watt's "c'mon defense!" speech seemed a bit forced, like he was unsure anybody was taking him seriously.
Was it only me or did the show cut off unexpectedly when she was on? I had my DVR set to record at 9 and the episode information page stated it was only 19 minutes. Did I miss the last half of the episode? The next episode opened with Wilfork playing basketball. No HBO intro at all. I thought that was odd.
