"These Final Hours" on Netflix. Australian film. A comet crashed in the ocean and giant tsunamis destroyed the rest of the world. The last tsunami is on the way to destroy Australia. Guy wants to party away the final few hours but saves a little girl from a couple of.creepers who are going to rape her. Sad as hell, but does a good job with the "end of the world" breakdown of society. Call it 7.5/10. Definately worth dropping in the Netflix cueue.
chappie - 4/10. Could have been cool but it was just a hodgepodge. never really cared for any of the characters. Ant-Man - 9/10. very entertaining and well done. One of the better marvel films...right up there with Iron Man and Winter Soldier.
An Honest Liar - 6/10 Documentary about James Randi. It was good but not as entertaining as it should have been. It is a little odd that his Latin lover is like 30+ years his junior and they got together when the kid was 19 (or so they say). Ant Man - 8/10 Loved it. Paul Rudd and Michael Douglass were great. Corey Stoll was good. Evangeline Lilly was ok, but her hair was awful. Just terrible.
SouthPaw - it is ok . . .nothing special though Jake did well in it Creed is looking like a better movie from the trailer Rocket River
Caught it with the woman last night, good movie, thanks again for the rec. Read a little about it online because I'd never heard of the director. It's his first film, and he's been hired to do an American remake, which he'll also write/direct/produce.
The reboot of 3:10 to Yuma... What a beautiful work of art. Bale and Crowe really had some of their finest moments. You rarely hear this film get brought up when talking about both of their finest works.
D-Day 3D: B. I liked. They took the pictures from the actual D-Day and turned them into 3D and 3D action. It was interesting to see Normandy beaches from the drones and seeing the cliffs they had to scale, bringing them to life. Does a nice overview of the entire strategy and events of the day, with some personalization. Concise and clear. Worth a look. Now I will watch Saving Private Ryan again to see what I get out that on a second view with more behind me. Started to watch Outcast. I haven't finished. And I know that Nicholas Cage has been terrible so far, but there was some nice imagery buried in the beginning and I could actually see Hayden being in an action hero from what I have seen so far, but the movie is sinking fast and the reviews were terrible. So little to no hope for it. I started the movie
