If tmac got a jersey retired, then steve francis should get a highway named after him and cuttino should get a lake or building after him.

Not shown are seconds after that the ball hits his right foot and goes rolling out of bounds. Tmac then gives himself a lil fist pump for applying the pressure that forced the turnover from 7 ft away.

TMac used to be so good. Shame he was done after that 08 season.

With Yao Ming on the team, Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur outplayed him. Couldn't even grab a critical rebound that would have helped win that series.

At least Tmac won his matchup.

Tmac never won a playoff series for any team, including his stint in china.

you could blame yao all you want for the utah series, that guy played like a warrior and was always about the Rockets

Tracy was always about Tracy, that's why when you what Clutch City the documentary, you hear about how much love Dream's teammates had for him

Nobody talks about that about McGrady.

Pretty sure any players who played for the Rockets can get their jersey retired in China. I remember Luther Head was pretty popular there last time.

There's an excuse for every t-mac failure.
it's so fantastic that we have James Harden. already passed T-mac up.

tmac only played in 20 playoff games, that's pretty horrible for a guy who was the highest paid player on our team for his tenure.

oh yeah, blame it on Yao, the only reason why any of these people in China like tmac.

Moments after Shanghai retired Tmac's jersey, he decided to join Shanghai's baseball team .

Notice that Yao Ming was the common denominator in all three cases I presented. The only one where we went further was with Artest. Artest does not need excuses. As I said to the other person I replied to, his claim that we somehow we were enjoying awesome success with mcGrady on the team was wrong. Francis took the Rockets to 1st round, and so did McGrady.

Who did McGrady win his matchup against? He was going against role players. He got his numbers but he also struggled against the physical play of Matt Harpring and Derek Fisher.

I don't exactly love TMac for the way everything went down with him and the Rockets. But regardless of if you think he let us down or not, there was a stretch of time where he was one of the most amazing players in the NBA to watch. There's a reason Kobe said TMac was his toughest defensive assignment. Dude could ball. The NBA lost a great player when he went down. Very sad ending to his career.

All I know is in the penultimate game of that series, T-Mac battled putting in 29 points and 13 assists, whereas Yao Ming managed a measly 6 rebounds, which was the direct reason the Rockets lost the game/series.

Dude could ball but he could never lead a team and he was a quitter everywhere he went. I've never seen a player, other than Scottie Quitten, actually quit on the court the way TMac did. It was an embarrassment to Rockets fans everywhere. He was a self-absorbed punk.

Next time TMac should think twice about pulling that performance in the Toronto game. In fact, let that game tape be a lesson to all current stars.

You never. Quit. On your teammates. While you're together on the court.

    Real Rockets fans remember.

    This is actually pretty sad

not sure if it is that much of an honor it is for a star player to only get his jersey retired in the CBA

All I know is that the Rockets, Raptors, Magic, Knicks, Pistons, Hawks

won't retire his number because he never did anything worthy of it for any of those teams

Oh nobody has worn #11 after Yao left on the Rockets

I'll give you a stat, ZERO points ZERO assists vs the Lakers in the 2nd round

In before classless comments. Oh wait, too late.

It's a nice gesture from them and he obviously appreciated it.

You didnt answer the question about those certain players. You inserted different players and focused it around them.

If Artest doesnt need excuses, and McGrady appropriately isnt given excuses, then why does Francis get an exemption from No-Excuses?

Its an obvious double standard. (Steve Francis actually quit on Rockets pretty bad himself. Clutch even said once that fans really should be way more pissed at Francis than they actually are)
