Since the hawks kept there interim coach from last year maybe Mcdavid will hire rudy when the sale goes through.

    This deserved a new thread?

Common wisdom is RT takes the Laker job. Whatever gig he takes, my call is that he eventually returns to Michigan and the Pistons gig.

I did not know there was a another thread on this topic and are you saying Pistons get rid of Brown for Rudy? What do mean by common wisdom on laker job I been hearing Philip was going to sign another contract since he was feeling better.

I believe he is still under contract with the Rockets. He has some sort of scouting position with the team I believe.

There are half a million threads on RT and his future. This could have gone into any one of them.

"Common wisdom" is that Jackson will leave once this contract is up, and the Lakers job will be open. If that happens, RT would be a perfect fit.

Even if Jackson wants to come back, he may have outlived his usefulness in LA - especially if the Lakers don't win it all this season.

As to the other point, no I don't think the Pistons will dump Brown. However, how long does LB stay anywhere? I expect that gig to be open in 2-4 years. A year off, two seasons (and 2 more championships) in LaLaLand, then back to his roots. That would come just short of balancing Les' betrayal in Houston.

    Rudy to Atlanta? Why not.

Rudy to Portland? If Mo C is gone then Rudy T hired by the same fellow who named him coach in the first place? Very real possible.
